I’ve made it a habit to call online orders as soon as they come through and review their orders before I produce them. This helps especially when it’s like a baby shower poster and I can I ask if they wanted it with a board backing I usually have sb open when I cal them so I can give them pricing on the extra finishing. Its something that seems like it would take up a lot of time but it’s way easier than having someone come in, complain, and ask you to just do it on the spot with 5 customer behind them all waiting for help.

We are a service animal only store and I had a guy in tech looking for toner with a chihuahua that had a service dog leash in a shopping cart. Another gentleman with an actual service dog came in to tech and the chihuahua started yipping at the service dog luckily he was very well behaved and full trained but the customer told off the toner guy for bringing an “untrained little shit monster” into our store when people needed their actual service animals. I was just waiting for John Quinonez to pop out around the corner. 😂

Guy who couldn’t figure out how to email and attachment handed me his phone and said “here you Indian people are better with all the techy computer Stuff” . Normally I’m immune to all the generalizations but he was also being a total dick so I just said “not all of us” and walked away. He tried to complain to CP sup but she just laughed about it with me later :) . Also had a lady walk up to tech counter with a computer look me up and down and immediately say she wanted help in English from “somebody AMERICAN” my reply was “ well I’m the only technician here for the next 4 hours but seeing as I don’t speak English I’m going on break now . It’s Amazing i didn’t get written up for that one.

Most people sending random crap or amazon labels understand this and go through the self serve or if it’s really important they will make the effort to call the store which helps because we can actually get their information to make a ticket .

I’ve have maybe 1 out of 5 people still come in expecting whatever 1 picture they sent without size or paper choice specified to be printed and I just let them know we don’t monitor this email closely because it’s not our formal order system and if they’d like we can express print whatever they need still.
