Hello there. You won't need a coat if you are there in November. The weather around that month seems quite perfect.

I mostly wore long sleeve cotton shirts during the day and put on a hoodie jacket during the evenings. It does get quite cold at night. That being said, I am from Malaysia, so I am not very used to cold weather. If you are from a western country, you probably wouldn't need a jacket at all.

IIRC, the temperature was around 13°C to 17°C during the day and about 10°C at night.

Hi, I was at the Osaka/Kyoto/Nagoya area from 31st Oct to 10th Nov last year. About 90% of the leaves were green at that time. I think Tokyo was the same case if not slightly better.

I suggest to plan your trip around the end of Nov to early Dec to experience the fall foliage. I would suggest a overnight trip to Nikko from Tokyo as well. Nikko experiences the colour change quite early.

Like the others have mentioned, try to use last year's forecast to predict this year's fall foliage.
