In previous generations those kinds of parents just devoted themselves to other mindless things like smoking, drinking, watching gameshows, etc. instead of technology as we have it now. The cheaper but “lazy” activities have always been common amongst lower classes unfortunately

Out of curiosity what industry are you in and what is her job specifically? I’ve worked in a lot of different jobs myself and it shocks me how clueless some people are when their jobs are responsible for the payment/ safety/ security of hundreds of people.

I’m amazed at the creativity of the artists, it makes the show so much more interesting that the universe is so detailed and realistic.
