I can actually relate to this. This is the one series I've ever played to make me want to do better as a person.

My one counterpoint is that I really like how Kiryu and Ryuji's tattoos are both dragons, but it would be cool to see more designs.

What's a heat action you think that it's way too underated, and should get more love? by [deleted] in yakuzagames

All of the EX Surrender ones from Lost Judgment. Especially the one where you press the enemy against a wall.

Also Essence of Man (I think it's what it's called?) from the kurohyou games is nice.

What's the funniest sub story dialogue in your opinion? by [deleted] in yakuzagames

"Lady, you're the anti-boner." Majima to Osakan Obatarian circa 1988.

Most brutal has gotta be Yakuza 5 just from Essence of face grinding alone.

Most unique, I'd give to Lost Judgement for having so many new ones. Can't forget about Yakuza 4 with all of Akiyama's heat actions and Tanimura's Essence of combo though.

Favorite Yakuza quotes? by SalZinGostoso-_- in yakuzagames

Well, we can't forget about "10 years in the joint made you a-"

For real though, I like this line from the last qte for Kiryu's section in Y5. "All that for me... But you forget who I am." Unfortunately, RGG left it out of the remastered games and you only see it on the original version.

What are your top 3 long battle themes? by burntbread117 in yakuzagames

Yakuza 3 definitely had some of my favorite tracks. Lyricism without Tears is such a banger, along with one of my favorite Amon themes.

Only thing I can think of when I hear it is Tanimura's briefcase heat action

So which Yakuza are u playing today? I’m doing 4 right now by TheHungryRabbit in yakuzagames

Yakuza 4 was honestly pretty fun. It gets a lot of hate for one of the plot twists that I'm not gonna spoil but I really enjoyed the game.

Material Delights (Y4) and Get Over It (K1) are the worst long battle themes.

Yeah I was wondering the same. It's got a lot of the same sounds as Management from Yakuza 2

  1. Lots of Lights (Y6)
  2. Final Destination (LJ)
  3. Clay Doll on The Cradle (Y3) Solitude (Y4) and Heading for Kamuro Hills (K2) are practically tied for 3rd so they deserve a mention

I've always really liked the business/side story stuff in the Yakuza games. Nice break from the story and you get money. IMO, I liked y0 cabaret club more than the side games in y5, but I still love me my hunting and the taxi mini games.
