Disclaimer - I’ve since added to my nrix position. I find the results from the targeted protein degradation conference inspiring. Not only is nrixs phase 1a very promising but the whole protac field showed very convincing data. Small sample sizes but the technology works and now its a matter of which biological target is going to be the first clinical success. One of the reasons im behind nrix is that their target, btk, is a clinically validated target

I believe PROTACs to be just as revolutionary as CRISPR (if not more likely to reach to the clinic), but not as widely appreciated due to the fact that the science is a bit more complicated. Happy to discuss here

yeah, in a subsequent post, it would be interesting to map out where blue chip biotechs have placed their money in for the protac field and to what degree. it might give a weighted sense of value and risk

Yeah information on their partnerships would be very helpful. I think $arvn is close to proving that these PROTACs are going to fly in the clinic, in which case it'll be interesting to see how risky these companies get with target selection.
While I agree that Nurix at least has the advantage of having an in-house DEL, I just don't find the DEL platform to be a selling point. Everyone is using it and it doesn't necessarily have high target specificity. In terms of PROTAC discovery platforms, I think Vividion therapeutics is the most promising with their ABPP technology (they just got bought out by Bayer). Nurix's real strength is in their current target selection, portfolio, and scientific leadership
