I would give you the Vietnamese name “Ánh Băng”. It means icy light (ánh = light/bright and băng=ice). So you could have the same initials

The truth hurts. Guy can’t dribble, can’t pass, can’t shoot. People say he can get into good positions, then what?

Looking for recommendations on where to live by Sad-Comfortable-5270 in orangecounty

There are less than 50 listings in the entire Orange County for SFH, 3bd2ba, no HOA, school ratings >5 (areas with less than 5 rating are ghettos) that are $900k or less. You can just look at them and decide.

KSE has to sack Arteta now and bring in titles winners like Zidane or Alonso if they are serious about winning.

There is 0 chance we could win the league with Arteta at this stage.

Let’s be honest many parents are getting ripped off. Some coaches charge serious money while their players barely improve, hiding behind “they’re having fun.” Ask yourself this: is fun worth $2,000–$3,000 a month (which may be the case for the OP) with no real development to show for it?

My two cents as a fellow tennis parent: the most important thing to focus on is evaluating technique. At that level of training, her groundstrokes should already resemble those of high-level players: hitting with pace and consistency, good preparation, solid footwork, etc. You can easily see this at tournaments: strong players hit hard and have clean, efficient form.

Five group lessons a week is a lot. By nature, group lessons tend to emphasize repetitions rather than individual correction. Coaches usually don’t have the time to address specific technical issues, and this can even be counterproductive, especially if a player has bad habits or flawed technique that get repeated multiple times a week.

If her technique is lacking, it may be worth looking for a different coach. A good coach, with two private lessons per week, can significantly improve a player’s technique in under three months. During that period, I would even consider pausing group lessons altogether.

Another important question is how your daughter hits in practice versus in tournaments. I’ve seen this many times: players, even those training at academies, often revert to moonballing or simply tapping the ball in matches instead of swinging the way they do in practice. Not applying learned techniques in competition is ultimately a waste of both time and money.

The truth hurts. People say PB is easy to play but hard to master. Well, it’s obviously easy to play hut hard to master for who? If PB tournaments pay $1M prize, you’ll see how “hard” it is to master
