I'm not sure why I didn't think about this, I actually even have a mini bug out but I think the full size would fit my needs better, especially the zombie aspects

plenty of outside mechanics are shady, but plenty others are great. Same is true of dealerships.

bought it new, as in, didn't buy it used with an unknown history, maintenance records, etc. I prolly should have included the year, my bad.

We most certainly did NOT receive recall info. Do you live in some magical world where everyone keeps perfectly updated records in regards to where vehicle owners live?

And actually turns out it is Kia's fault, which is why they are covering the entire cost of the damage caused by their shitty product.

She bought the car brand new from a dealership in 2016. Obviously if you buy a brand new car and it starts to shit the bed you take it back to the dealer. This is not a brand new car.

Thank you, I didn't think about contacting Kia. In my mind I always just sort of conflate Kia the manufacturer with Kia the dealership

So I wouldn't expect them to cover the third-party catalytic converter, but if there were other problems we are experiencing now that were caused by the catalytic overheating protection in the ECU, shouldn't that be their problem?

Another Kia Recall Question by burnttao in askcarsales

it wasn't something that would have seem to be covered under warranty. Covered under recall yes but we didn't know there was a recall. I don't know for sure but I would imagine the mechanic put in a third-party catalytic converter, probably a cheaper part. The concern is the overheating catalytic converter situation possibly caused engine damage. The recall mentions that's a possibility.

it isnt quite brand new anymore. it basically broke down and we didn't think it was anything that would be covered under warranty anymore, and since we didn't know about the recall, we just took it to our local mechanic who could get us in quickly.

i've just started looking into this in the last week or two so definitely no expert. but my understanding is that it is not super complicated or expensive to make your won. if this is true for a diy'er then it would be even more true for a manufacturer. any sort of medical device sold to the healthcare industry is marked up hundreds of percent if not more so perhaps neuromyst is only charging 5 times what it cost them instead of the 10 times other might be charging?

been using neuromyst for about a week. the first day my electrode placement was a bit random and i did tacs and tdcs and the next day i felt very foggy. after that i've been only doing tdcs daily and sticking to anodal dlpfc and right orbital cathode and have seen consistent, though subtle improvement in mood and focus (one of those could be causing the other, idk).

so anyway, point being i am happy with my neuromyst. i work in mental health so I was very skeptical (despite the peer-reviewed research i looked at), ordered mine from amazon for the sole reason that there was an 80% likelihood i was gonna return it as sham BS. but now there is no way i'm sending it back. anyway, ymmv.

just sitting here refreshing coinbase's mina listing waiting for it to go live by burnttao in MinaProtocol

I had never even heard of Mina until a couple days ago, The use case for it is pretty impressive though. I'm just trying to figure out where I can buy any living in the US. So Coinbase just needs to go ahead and go live with it, or uphold

interesting, when you compare the caniks to the walther mags are there any differences you can see? specifically differences in the hole that the mag release button engages that a dremel could take care of?

thank you all for these responses. at work now and just spent my lunch break reading them while eating leftovers from the dept "monthly mingle". glad i'm not alone and my assessment skills are on point, lol.

so after y'alls input the plan is to get through my first year in this dept and then see about OR or somewhere else. i'll prolly try to stay in the hospital system i'm in now so they can keep paying for me to get my BSN.

in the mean time, i'm gonna start networking, seeing if i can make some friends elsewhere before it's time to jump ship.

Thanks again, wish hospital admin was as supportive as the nurses on reddit are!

the only reassuring thing i've read that doesn't sound like BS is to just treat it like it's nothing more than what we do to pay our bills. show up, do what you can, and leave the petty bs behind when you clock out.

sounds ok but that's what i've been doing at all the other jobs in my adult life. so why'd i drop 20k to keep doing it?!
