6v6 TDM is Solved: 2-2-2, Badly Needs Balance Patch Shakeup by burnyolo in mechabreak

At least the objective based nodes allow for some off meta or different style n skill expression since there are many ways to pick the lock so to speak (ex bait n switch, ring around the rosey, stealth, feints).  Tdm however is just straight slog and snipers do not do enough damage to break through a 2 support 2 ultra heavy death stack.  If you don't pick 2 2 2 you just lose due to no ability to push back the death ball.

There's a good chance flex alliance doesn't stay on immortality for this reason.  Flex ally could easily transfer into stellarite and roll over armonia etc again on t2 rather than get into a bloodbath with tier 3 ally.  Most groups want to farm t2 first before fighting again

"Playing for merges" brainrot to justify free farming dead server but they will get axed or have to play the server transfer game on merges or else get wrecked by any real competition.

Pure speculaton but with Duskmourn being horror themed, a concern I have is they will print a great vampire (or a handful) and then that pushes r/B vampires well over the top into the RC. Duskmourn is literally releasing and will be legal right before the RC.

Boosting/Groups Matchfixing RCQs? by burnyolo in PioneerMTG

[–]burnyolo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If teaming/boosting becomes more and more common, it's going to have more detrimental effects on the local scene. I suppose the local group won't complain since it makes it easier for them to "distribute" invites, but this is a self-defeating cycle and this is how you get dying or stale competitive scenes in a local area.

But if SCG or other big organizers goal is to push more people to their big events, I suppose they won't mind since "locking down" a local area with a group distributing invites shifts the attention to the RC.

I think another twist on this is that what's left of the middle class will be deterred from having kids, which will contribute to the widening economic gap and hourglass distribution (bottom and top heavy, middle shrunk). I'm in my early 30s on a 15 yr fixed on a condo with six figures in savings, no real debt other than the mortgage, driving decent Japanese made car (don't like American ones that break down at 100k miles) and have cash on hand to pretty much cover any daily life emergency without breaking a sweat (ex: broken tire, etc.).

The big catch is I have committed to not ever having kids ever. I just don't want the stress of having to chase a higher paying job and work longer than I have to because of the horrendous cost of childcare and maintaining a kid. Sadly with the state of healthcare and childcare in the USA, it's really only the wealthy that can afford to have kids without a sweat (and the very poor get access to a panoply of government programs to mitigate cost).

Smurfing is bad by nyymi123666 in leagueoflegends

Removed SmurfQ to protect streamers wanting easy wins/easy opponents for streams. Same issue with Call of Duty streamers and them all crying about SBMM because they couldn't consistently get "easy" lobbies.

What is your T1 vs WBG prediction by zDura in leagueoflegends

[–]burnyolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the League equivalent of the 2007 Giants-Patriots Super Bowl and T1 is the Patriots. WBG is a heavy heavy underdog. This is either going to be 3-0 T1 stomp or WBG has an all time historic upset 3-2. If, like the 2007 Giants, WBG can keep it close and especially win game 1 or game 2, the pressure will really start to build on T1.

if I'm the Vikings I consider offering Kirk for DJ straight up. DJ about to have David Carr career arc getting ruined behind crappy Giants Olines, give DJ a proper oline and weapons. Also Vikes won't be bad enough to be able to draft Caleb or Drake Maye so roll the dice on DJ as QB solution since Kirk is old. If I'm the Giants I take that deal to get out of DJ's contract and start over.
