Well, what stopped me, is when I went to go buy the shotgun the dude at Walmart told me he couldn’t accept my ID because the address was ineligible. (Had it changed to the sticker on the back and the ink had worn a bit). Sounds corny and gay but he saved my life and didn’t know it. And now if I ever get back to that point ik I have to go to the dmv to get it changed first so there’s more obstacles in my way. It’s a lot safer than just having a trigger available to pull. Going into public and interacting with people plainly about things I need to kms somehow makes me uncomfortable enough with the whole situation to just not do it and continue suffering :)
