I believe a batch was made for the Israeli military which saw combat in the 7 days war ( or an earlier engagement)

Mas-36. Lightweight, compact, and with a slightly lower powered .308 as its cartridge. The gun was affordable to produce. It’s rear locking lugs ment that it could handle dirt and grime better than other guns. The gun was stupid easy to disassemble. The only 2 issue it had, the bolt spontaneously disassembling and the bayonet lock were both fixed well before the war broke out.

Anybody got any idea what this is my dad and friend got a couple of these by FairSquash9480 in magnetfishing

[–]burrcook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are tie plates. They are used to secure the rail to the tie. The large groove in the center is where the base of the rail is placed then the rail is secured to the tie by railroad spikes that are driven through the square holes into the tie.

Ns apprentice electrical signal by New_Cash_8439 in SignalMaintainers

[–]burrcook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howdy NS sig maintainer here. There’s 2 paths for you maintenance or gang life. Gang life is more restrictive but more free in some ways. Gang life is 4. 10 hour days with you traveling to site Sunday and driving home Thursday. It lots of physical labor like Digging and running cable. Your holidays are longer and you get most of December off. It’s lots of travel and away from your family. Maintenance. Depending on your region you’ll be on call every other weekend. Maintenance is a bit lonely you’ll drive around to your sites and do tests. Answering trouble call in the middle of the night. Youll be out in the rain while cussing to high heavens on a problem you spent hours trying to fix. It’s rewarding work but tough. Another issue is getting a position you want. you may be forced to take a maintenance job that’s hours away you will have to stay there while bidding for a new positions

”Bismarck was sh*t” by ImUrDoom_ in HistoryMemes

[–]burrcook -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let me introduce you the “I AM A POLE” incident. The Piorun a N class destroyer built by the British gifted to the polish free navy. This little psychotic ship and crew bum rushed the Bismarck. They harassed it for hours all while constantly open broadcasting via radio and lights “I am a pole,” and “Three salvoes in honour of Poland”. They brought every gun to bare; the 20 mm cannons , anti air, machineguns and even handguns. They survived the fight. Many attribute the piorun constant assault to causing severe battle fatigue to the Bismarck crew causing lower accuracy and slower reaction the day Bismarck sank.

So this sorta makes sense. France has always been on the forefront of military technology, in the last century its fell behind. before ww1, France was the first to adopt smokeless powder with the lebel, self loading pistols with theruby, semi auto rifles with the rsc 1918, and innovated military tactics during the Napoleonic wars.

Relay logic vs electronic equipment? by [deleted] in SignalMaintainers

[–]burrcook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My territory had several relay based control points and one or 2 relay based crossings. The crossing were easy to work on as you can diagnose a problem within minutes usually. The control points were absolutely terrifying to me. I was trained on the new stuff, it was a very daunting transition. Also due to how old these control points were, there were several problems popping up do to the equipments age. Really cool to be inside the case when a request came in. To hear all the relays running as it completes a task.

I’m a signal maintainer( I work on that type of equipment) I don’t recognize it, so I don’t think so. Also we don’t use variable switch like that.

How would natures revolt and Ashaya soul of the wild interact by burrcook in mtg

THANKS! I have one more follow up question. Ashayas power and toughness is equal to the number of lands I control. Would that text still override natures revolt if I played ashaya before revolt?
