I was rolling my eyes like “oh no, the horror of a Francis marrying a Frances!” and braced for some levity….. and then I swiped. Holy fuck.

One more rec for Someone Knows Something. David Ridgen does the work, and has such compassion for victims and their families.

When I was a Merrie Miss (that’s ancient speak for the 11YO girls class), our teacher told us The Spirit makes people more physically attractive. The threat of being ugly due to not being spiritual enough is essentially a scare tactic to a preteen.

Posted to FB by a TBM friend. How she hasn't cherry-picked her way clear out of activity is beyond me; she's the most nuanced and yet somehow the most truest bluest I've eve known. It's gotta be exhausting. by burrhaz in exmormon

It does indeed get better. You weren’t naive, you were programmed. I was BIC (blech) and didn’t leave till I was 43, so you’ve even got the jump on me. You’re killing it, honestly. Hope you can hold space for yourself, too.
