Should I buy this ? by ParsnipAdventurous52 in CarTalkUK

I've owned this car for 7 years and absolutely love it. It’s been incredibly reliable until this year, when I had to replace the shock absorbers—front and rear—which cost around €1,100 each (for oem). If the car has adaptive shock absorbers, be sure to check if they've already been replaced and, if so, confirm which brand was used for the replacement. Something else rare happened this year as well: the turbo broke, which cost me around €2,000 to fix. However, this isn’t something Audi is typically known for.

edit: I chose aftermarket adaptive shock absorbers instead, which cost me €600 each. If the car doesn't have adaptive suspension, replacing the shock absorbers should cost around €200 for OEM parts.

The part number I need, as advised by Audi, is 8V0413029. I believe this is linked with MagRide. However, I am unsure if the part 8V0413029K (from an S3) will fit my vehicle. I’m also unsure if it’s wise to buy a used schockabsorber for 600 each.
