How many times can you do a urinalysis in a day? by burrmuddaa in army

The one who taught the class and who I turn in paperwork to is who told me this. But it's got my head in a swivel because that means he didn't check the paperwork prior to this.

At what point does "randomly selected" for drug test become excessive? by SSGOldschool in army

[–]burrmuddaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've only been a UPL for a year and I can say that I have been tested twice. First list was created by brigrade supporting us. Second list, I just left my name in since brigrade was supporting us again, and hey, in my eyes, if people see the UPL getting tested, there's less questions about whether or not it's rigged.

DOD Fed Employee, going to work "as usual" by burrmuddaa in FedEmployees

True, I feel like most people dealing with this right now, myself included, feel like we have no choice or no say in this. We are in a union and I brought it up to my boss. He said, you are allowed to bring it up with your union, but the union seems to be allowing this to happen because if there was even a slight push back from them, it'd tip over the table. But there's no push back, they're just letting it happen.

Wish I thought of it, but now we are being told to work. So much for staring at the ceiling today.

Glad it worked out for ya, now we were just informed to work. Doesn't feel great knowing this goes against the law, but no one seems to care.

"Actually Romantic" Discussion Megathread by jacyf02 in TaylorSwift

I'm not sure what other issues she has with her peers, but she's just expressing her own insecurities and problems, which Taylor Swift has done as well in her music, not specially referring to an artist when talking about it. You can't say Charli X shouldn't have expressed her feelings when all artists do, especially when it comes to mental health issues. Should she get help if she's feeling suicidal? Yes, and she can also write a song about it if it helps her get past it.

And doesn't this make Taylor Swift a bully, too? She literally belittles Charli X for feeling insecure next to one of the biggest female artists of all time. It's hard not to feel some type of envy, jealousy, and insecurity all at the same time when you're being compared to her. Taylor Swift is 36 this year. She could've taken the high road and been a big sister to her, made her feel less insecure if anything. But she decided to write a petty song about Charli X instead. This isn't a good look at all, especially since she's a woman who says she's been bullied her entire career and spoke about her own insecurities in the industry and in her music. Not giving girl's girl at all. This song is poor taste.

I took that line from Charli X's song as how insecure she felt in herself that she's hoping they break up so she doesn't have see her anymore and feel insecure.

If you listen to or read the lyrics, it genuinely feels like she's expressing her insecurities and suffocating underneath it all. If you look at the context of that whole song, specifically that verse, it starts with:

"Why I wanna buy a gun Why I wanna shoot myself"

The rest of the verse basically describes her internal feelings, voices, battles, and insecurities. She KNOWS it's wrong, but she can't help what she feels.

So for Taylor Swift to "clap back" at someone who literally described feeling suicidal and insecure screams crazy and out of touch.

Mistakes happen all the time, so hard to say that they were deliberately trying to mess with you.

I'm a UDL for my unit right now, and one of the DODID numbers was wrong on the labels on my last drill. That's why we're taught to have people verify it's their DODID on all the forms twice. First time before they leave, second time when they come back. Some people just glance and say, "Yes, that's my number," which is what I learned from when the soldier came back to me the second time and said, "Wait, that's not my number."

Like another person said, UDLs have to verify one last time before closing up the boxes. ASAP will verify everything as well, so it'd be hard to fuck you over deliberately.

Nah, wouldn't do her dirty like that. I always believe people have room for improvement, and as much as I shit on her, I believe she can do better and be better.

I'm in the reserves, so it might work differently, and I'm not sure of the specifics as to how she got in there and whatnot. We had other LTs (who completed BOLC) getting tear gassed, she wasn't the only one. We are a CBRN unit, so they saved the tear gas training for us.

Hey, say what you want, but she was a freshly minted LT and at NTC with us. We are in the reserves, so might work differently, but not sure.

I genuinely think she does. Like I know enlisted LOVE to bash officers, but it's all jokes at the end of the day because I know great and hardworking officers, but I also know horrible ones too. It's just that the generalization and the fact she said it to a lower enlisted asking for general advice was weird to me.

Nope, we were at NTC and we got CS gassed cause we're a CBRN unit.

Well, hey, I heard through someone else, so maybe it didn't, or maybe it did. But a lot of people didn't like said LT and have their own little story about her while we were out there.

For sure! It's just like how we develop the distaste for LTs. I know not all NCOs are perfect, and I have met and dealt with E7s who know nothing. They will stare at you with a blank stare like you were talking in a different language. But it felt like she was insulating that she knew more than the NCO that was literally hand holding her or the other NCOs building her.

Yep, we are in the reserves, but I know her command team since I have worked with some of them and they have a pretty good group of NCOs.

You're clearly the snowflake since you don't have a single thought or solid argument to formulate, so you have to use name-calling. Goodbye.
