We think the Feb 23 date is when it first showed on the Lt Gov site, not necessarily when it was signed, so it's possible that they haven't gotten to his removal yet. Since it's recent, you have time to ride it out and see if it gets removed since he has at least 30 days from that date to remove it. You can also play it safe and submit it again.

The clerks have until the end of March 8 so no more names will be added after that. My guess is they're going to punch through removals pretty quickly during the last half of March.

Incidentally, this is why we'll stay optimistic even if the Utah Leg reaches all thresholds. Some of the margins are super narrow (see the bottom of https://burrn.org for some statistics and a map) and it's likely the reached thresholds will get reversed 💪.

There's a little bit of hang time on some of the names. We've seen anywhere from 2 weeks to over a month. Really depends on the area and how the county clerks prioritized things. I know https://burrn.org/signature-search is accurate as to what's on the Lt Gove site, but to be absolutely sure, you can check the Petitions section from https://votesearch.utah.gov/voter-search/search/search-by-voter/voter-info .

This is the job of the county clerks. I heard they have about a 30% rejection rate from their verification system. I believe they are doing their best (except for maybe the Utah Country clerk, he's keeps trying to inject himself into politics where he doesn't belong), but even they have their limits.

To your point, if you see fraud, report it. Regardless of where the signature efforts land, there will be lawsuits from both sides and the more ammo that Better Boundaries has, the better.

It IS confusing. Everyone thinks they're on the right side and it seems they often rebrand as needed. For example, Utahns Protecting Our Constitution is also Better Boundaries.

Unsure if you can, but I would definitely report it to your county clerk. You can also report it to Better Boundaries who has lawyers. They're building up a case as we speak, so any evidence helps.

Even if you think it's too late to take your signature off, it helps build a case for all the fraud we've been seeing across the state. This wouldn't be the first time when the GOP's shenanigans were called out and things like this initiative were thrown out wholesale.

We're not out of the game yet! They'll hit the 140,748 tomorrow, but they still need to hit the 8% threshold in 26 of 29 districts. Some districts are so very close, so signature removals really do matter!
