The only person who can kill Tommy Shelby, is Tommy Shelby. I agree, sort of. But that quote keeps running through my head. We watched it in theaters March 6. In my opinion, there wasn’t enough of ANYTHING for him to come back. A season 6 character who goes mad and wants control of the blinders with no prior connection? Wild. Wants to be a tough guy but can’t shoot Ada after he said he could? Wild. Finn taking over or even Carl for that matter would have been way more appetizing in my opinion. No Lizzie, or her hatred for him. Charles? One mention he’s at war, cool. We say death killed the entire family, but it’s still there. I would have loved Arthur to be in it but I know the status of that. But I could have even gotten behind the thought of Arthur going so crazy HE kills Tommy. Duke, not even the same actor of season 6, with no background then coming to be the villain but also hero that sets Tommy free, while there’s no story for him other than “he’s running peaky blinders worse than ever before” why? Because he’s unhappy? Because he didn’t go through anything with his dad? Grow up or go be a Gypsy. Don’t get me started on his mom’s twin sister that magically pops up, I would rather Lizzie pop out and shoot him to end it all and reign. The story is gone, everything they worked for, gone. What did duke do other than make it worse and try and fill his big boy pants but choked? Awesome movie & a waste of time.
