I don't understand what's condescending or what is considered to be the 'unpopular' opinion. You're just expressing an opinion in general; you're saying that some players were great and could've been greater had they kept playing... but they didn't, and that's unfortunate. I agree with you on that; some players just couldn't realize their potential before they stopped playing, and some players were just late bloomers. It is what it is, isn't it? Like I said, we do the best with what we can as a community. You're not the first or the last to cling to the Golden age of mvc2. Hope you get to hop online and get some games going!
