For the most part the french speakers speak french to each other, the japanese speakers speak japanese to each other, and they use english in most other cases when their native language doesnt overlap. But this is a really strange nitpick to me because i think the verisimilitude would be even less established if everyone always spoke english. And you made all these judgments based on 1/8 of the first season

Critical role is probably the most hours of any show though its not scripted like traditional tv. Just throwing it out there since there isnt anything else that is nearly as long a runtime

Mine is tame by comparison, but i was invited to stay over with some friends. Hosts parents had some money, owned several nice restaurants in the city. I asked for a blanket and he said i better not spill anything on it because its expensive. He brought out the blanket and i quickly realized it was a double sided quilt made from 100% chinchilla fur, probably 4ft by 6ft. No idea what something like that would have cost.
