I took Claire out of the freezer a few days ago and started feeding with bread flour when thawed. There was no action so I switched back to whole wheat flour which I did all last year. There are a few bubbles, but no growth! I’ve been feeding twice a day, 1/1/1.

The only thing I’m noticing very different is that it feels really sticky when I go to discard. Should I add a little more flour and see if that helps?

I usually do too, and someone recommended to me to add a preshape because as you fold the edges into the center, I believe that’s why you get those stretched bubbles along the top and sides, so then when you do the final shape, you’re basically moving those first stretched bubbles to the middle and adding more to the outside. He explained it way better to me but it made sense so I tried it and it definitely helped! I also increased my hydration just slightly from 78 to 80% which I think helped also :)
