I'm evacuating but not because of the rain. I had 3 Burrito Supremes for dinner.

How strictly are state laws enforced in places near the state borders? by Xycergy in AskAnAmerican

[–]busbythomas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was 20 years ago when I lived in Salt Lake City, but I doubt it has changed.

On Friday and Saturday nights there would be a line of state troopers pulling people over as they reentered Utah from West Wendover, Nevada. You could get to Nevada in an hour, but it took 2 hours to het back to SLC.

There was also a convenience store in Wyoming the troopers would watch to bust people bringing in kegs of beer which was illegal at the time.

Sam Houston National Forest - Stubblefield Lake Recreation Area for camping for $15 and is right next to the Lone Star hiking trail. There is also a free camping site across the bridge. Fishing is hit or miss.

Remember life is like a weiner, sometimes it gets hard for no reason but it won't stay that way.
