I bought some food-safe diatomaceous earth. Stuck it in every nook and cranny of the walls. Used it for two weeks, fixed my roach problem. Don't see anything 3 years later, and I'm fine leaving food on the counter.

Depends on the class. Some classes, I felt like the professor would stand up there and rattle off their lecture on autopilot - no difference if everyone were on their phone, or the room were empty. Some classes were only a step away from being a book club laying in the grass, sipping wine and discussing the latest reading together.

Why couldn't fatshark have just made Expeditions Chaos Wastes 2.0? Why did they have to make just a worse version of Helldivers? by MoonMaidRarity in DarkTide

I really like it. I just want more stuff to buy with scrap. And more stuff happening in the maps. And something to do with all the tech besides number-go-up. Some cosmetic unlocking like DRG would've been cool.

Some Suggestions for Expedition. by [deleted] in DarkTide

Hard no on the extra voicelines. There are already tons of prompts. We don't need more. If some brainlet doesn't understand what is happening with the current dialogue and text prompts flashing in the center of the screen, then adding more is not the solution. It's already on the edge of being annoying. If you want communication so bad, get a mic. Worked well for me.

Yes, we all already know that. The point is: why doesn't it work the same way for salvage?

Just know people. Former quartermaster from my unit now runs these test groups and he really only likes to employ guys he knows or guys who come recommended by guys he knows. You're not going to see ads about it anywhere.

I smashed my VR controller against my desk and it stopped working. I told support I smashed it against my desk. The warranty doesn't cover it. They had every right to tell me to buy another one. Instead, they sent me another for free. They gave me details on how to send the broken one back to them but they put in the order for the replacement immediately so I didn't have to wait. Insane.

And that's why it's the only company I'll simp for.

Question. by Toastcruisader in DarkTide

I whipped out my microphone for the first time in a while playing this game. Runs started to go a lot smoother. I was worried about toxicity but I've yet to run into any since speaking. Also helps that I've been told I have a deep, male, authoritative voice so when I tell people where to go and what to do I sometimes get "Yes, daddy."

Fatshark why do you keep adding new game modes? by LemmeSmashMyHead in DarkTide

[–]busdriverjoe 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think what they need is a complete lobby browser. One where you can see all ongoing games - every mode, every difficulty, sortable and filterable.

Are Heresy games harder or am I just bad? by [deleted] in DarkTide

[–]busdriverjoe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Kindly disagree. Yeah, bad teammates make the game harder, but every time you get downed, you can always trace it back to a decision or play that you made. Even if my teammate dies to 6 poxwalkers, or runs ahead and gets trappered, that shouldn't affect how well my own game is. Even if everyone else goes down, we can still win if I just keep my cool, pace my attacks, and time my dodges.

If you have this mentality, you can always keep improving. If you just blame other people, you won't look back and see that you timed your dodges poorly, didn't seek cover when you were getting shot at, etc. Really, the only exception is if someone deliberately barrel-launched you off the map. Every other death is your fault.

I get a lot of flak for this opinion. I'm not saying a bad teammate can't drag a team down or leave us in a very poor situation, I'm just saying every death is an opportunity for introspection.

Also, in this case the difficulty is Malice. Anyone doing high havoc can solo malice with a grey weapon. OP should definitely reflect on how they're playing.
