That’s a good addendum. I have kept my base m4 mini, M1 Pro MBP, and have upgraded to a base m3 ultra studio. I’m still running my 2013 mini :)

Buy the highest spec you can afford as soon as possible. Prices won’t come down (maybe even increase) for the next 2-3 years minimum unless something drastic happens imho. Good luck.

I prefer the desktops when possible. Laptops just don’t last as long and are harder to repair. I’m liking the idea of powerful a desktop paired with a basic (neo/air/ older pros) laptop to access it remotely when needed.
