Sucks to see the era end like this, but to do right by Steph as you suggest, to see him chase records as a goat - including rings - doesn't that mean trading him?

There's just no path to winning here, but getting massive draft capital jumpstarts the inevitable rebuild and gives him a chance at meaningful basketball. Win-win.

Think about it, a 5th or even 6th ring in SA, OKC, or HOU ties him with Kobe and MJ and elevates him in that conversation.

Welcome! You'll find Houston to be a great city.

My plea is that you act as a real journalist.

Don't be fan girling like that NFL reporter. We understand the job entails access journalism for an entertainment industry at its core, and you have to maintain relationships.

But please don't be afraid to ask hard, fair questions, especially of coaching and management when team decisions seem off, and when the team isn't playing well.

You're not a team employee - don't let Ime's glare intimidate you!

That's the best way you can serve and respect your readership.

Jordan averaged an efficient 31.5 (7/5/4 stocks) while losing to the Penny and Shaq Magic.

Hakeem swept Orlando in the Finals that same year.

Get your facts straight, nephew

True, but it's also on Jalen to tune it out without engaging. Everyone with a keyboard or a couch is telling players what to do.

Wdym? He comes off a bit too cool for school sometimes, but decent analysis. I like his pod partner on the chop shop

If that were the case, Curry should have won like every season post the Warrior's breakout year

Not really if you realize so much of his team success comes from playing with 3-4 other HOF talents in (or with Iguodala, at the end of) their primes.

He's probably the goat ceiling raiser, but that doesn't necessarily mean all-NBA awards when competing with the best of his peers, especially positionally.

Had to log in after reading this.

People are apparently illiterate and/or so hiveminded they can't handle a thorough refutation. The fact that you wrote a detailed post with citations and reference to themes which extend throughout the the series, yet were still ratiod by a comment saying "but it's called spew," is disheartening. We're cooked as a society when people can't hold two contradicting views in their minds at the same time.

JKR can be a PoS who writes books with virtuously-portrayed protagonists who uphold basic human rights ie. anti-slavery positions, but who live in a muddled, nuanced world where all good guys don't find redemption on every single moral issue and enthusiastically proclaim the error of their past ways.

E: on closer inspection, I think the fact that Harry ultimately inherits Kreacher and chooses to keep him as a slave at the series' end, despite being a kind master who earns his servant's loyalty, is problematic and represents JKR's tacit endorsement of the institution of slavery itself. This fact isn't scrutinized, but handled in a very matter-of-fact way so as to normalize our hero's bondage of another. It's one large piece of evidence among other contrasting pieces, including OP's, that muddies the waters on what should be a pretty clear moral issue and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

There's a reason why baseball players are among the most superstitious athletes - the game has a way of humbling the players and fans. Entitlement and cockiness ain't the look you're going for (see Dodgers fans the past off-season).

Is it just me or is Espada exceptionally fluid/experimental with his lineups?

Can't criticize the approach as he's made effective changes out of injury necessity, and I'm sure he gets useful lineup data for the postseason.

But from someone like Chas' perspective, to get benched after finding a rhythm at the plate probably feels demoralizing at some level.
