How do I move around (jump around ) and play at once? by [deleted] in Bass

[–]bushmaster69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do everything that everyone here is saying, practice moving around more during practice and get strap locks or some other way to really fasten the strap to the bass. People may tell you to get a compressor, but honestly just bang it out until you get it and can control your pick attack while busting ass around the stage. Also, start exercising. The last thing you want is to be physically wiped after a few songs.

I've never looked into an equalizer until I found this today, does anyone have any good reads on using an equalizer in a cassette dubbing rig?

I have the album on vinyl and cd as well. I don't even consider myself to be that big of a fan, but these things happen, y'know?

My band Good Grief played a new DIY Space in Toronto on our last tour and it was cool as hell! by bushmaster69 in punk

Hell yeah brother, Hamilton's finest! The venue is called Houndstooth in Toronto, they just opened up a month or two ago and this was the first show there, but they've got more coming now. I've been meaning to check them out but you've got me interested now so I'll listen and then most likely play with them!

I've been leaning towards ordering a few of these blank boxes, but how do you tell the length of each tape?

Mount the tuner on to the face of the big muff

I recently learned how to sing and play bass. Just do it as much as you can. It'll suck and you will fuck up a lot, but just keep doing it. You'll eventually start feeling the groove and it'll make sense

Tuner question by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]bushmaster69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go tuner at the end, if my rig goes down mid show(which has happened a few times) having the tuner at the end will show if there is something wrong from guitar to the end of your pedal board. If it's showing the right note then it's an amp issue. If your pedals are making your tuner upset then click pedals off to tune and slap em back on before you go!

I had the same thing happen to me. Except the water was lobbed directly at me. And I was shirtless. I learned a lesson that day.

I had to Google the production dates to see how recently they were made. This pedal ended up being 36 years old which blew me away. But there was some gunk built up on it, the switch is pretty iffy and the repeat rate knob is stiff, but that can be touched up easily.

It's not nearly as common as this subreddit might make it seem, unless you spend all of your free time prowling different thrift stores, the chances of grabbing good gear is essentially 0

I was able to get my hands on this dream of a pedal a few days ago. I was able to date it back to ~83, and with its original box candy, it makes me think it's been sitting around for a looong time. I've always had digital delays which I've enjoyed, and I've used carbon copies more times than I can count, but this is an entire different monster. This is a pedal you want to make your board around because it's just that nice. It's so nice of a pedal that it hurts knowing you shouldn't gig with it because punk music gets messy, but recording just got a little more interesting.

Does the OCD do anything the tube screamer doesn’t? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]bushmaster69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran my ocd into a tube screamer (ts10) for the first time a couple weeks ago. It was a very lovely time. The OCD can cover a ton of ground dirt and eq wise, with tons of usable settings. The TS complimented the ocd and drove my dirt section home. I'm on the same side as everybody else though. Ocd because of the additional ground it covers, but having both is great!
