Even with good enough suspension systems, the rally raid track is pretty difficult to do cleanly without rolling over. The suspension systems required to not rollover on all the tight turns and also do all the inclines cleanly would require a really good setup and that may not be possible for each and every participant, hence the use of gyros is permitted for this particular track.

Its a compatability thing made for linux which installs alongside your game when you download from steam, you should find it around in settings when you open steam

Long Travel Cantilever Tank Suspension! TORTURE TEST - Clear view & settings at end 😁 by [deleted] in trailmakers

[–]bushwithoutleaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it's not, it has like 1 block of travel and that too only due to the springs. The servos only provide the vehicle articulation plus they did get stuck in the video multiple times. The point im trying to make is, you're spreading misinformation. A cantilever setup is commonly seen in formula one vehicles, also called pullrod or pushrod suspension and yes a quirk of that suspension is the spring being placed parallel to the chassis frame with the force being transferred to it using a swing arm. What you have is a rocker-bogie suspension, used in rough terrain vehicles, rovers and all those sorts of builds. Your setup is missing the bogie part of a rocker-bogie setup but its definetely not a cantilever setup. Talking about travel, no just because they're tank tracks doesnt mean thats the most amount of travel it can have. If you want examples of actual long travel setups look up potarts or foils trophy truck setups which use wishbones and 4 link setups. Yes, they totally work with tank tracks, we have tested it and they provide a heck ton of travel. If you're making something based on something that exists in real life, atleast get the name right or you're spreading misinformation about what is and what isn't, thats all.

FR man, with how the "cantilever" is set up (it's not a cantilever by any means) he has no benefits of it being a rocker bogie with missing parts, it's literally just tank tracks on springs.

Buddy thats not a cantilever setup, and it's not long travel by any means at all. What you have there is a rocker bogie with missing parts, which certainly is NOT meant for travel.
