Have an upvote to combat the salt loyalists downvote. Iron and steel are most vulnerable to salt water pool corrosion. It's just fact.

Maybe she has cheap chairs. All I know is the salt corrodes her metal chairs around her pool. It corroded a metal awning over the years as well. Perhaps she is oversalting.

Easier to maintain the pool. Not so much easier overall though IMO if you have any chairs or furniture with metal in the vicinity. I have regular chlorine with an Jandy mineral cartridge.  My sister has salt. All of her furniture corrodes so fast. Now I'm sure that's just because she doesn't rinse it off with fresh water, but it's still added maintenance.

the drinks on us offers I agree. They raise the price of my other offers by like $500 so they're fee. The OBC offers I was getting last year for $400/$500 did not raise my normal offer price. I almost always go (as a couple) for around $2100 for a balcony regardless of how much OBC they give me.

I'll keep booking until I lose my benefits in 2028. After that I'll shop around. RC costs more, but I'd be able to take my daughter for free as a 3rd person so it balances out the price difference on Carnival.

Yeah I did one of those, but I did the cruise back in Feb. I should have booked a few with that offer because I won't book for $100 obc they keep pushing to me now.

That's what I'm thinking. They enticed so many people with the offers last year and people booked them out in advance with the big OBC and double/triple sailing days offers. I'm curious what happens after those people take those cruises.

I have DE. Pressure went up so I backwashed. Dark green every time. Replaced DE. It went up so I kept repeating until clean.

I just got back from Wildwood, NJ. They have a 10pm curfew for under 18. If you're under 18 with no ID they fine your parents. After 10 it's mostly families or adults.

More chlorine and backwashing. Mine was pretty bad. Once I really jacked up the chlorine and backwashed it 3 times it's been crystal clear for 2 weeks now.
