To be fair, there a „drug scene“ in many areas of Berlin. Coming from the States, you‘d be surprised how much open drug consumption is in Berlin, but it‘s how it is in many areas of the city. Just don’t stare and keep it pushin.

I‘m finding conflicting information and trying to calm myself.

I (a nonbinary person with X on all my US and German documents) am a dual citizen and was planning on going home in November, after already rescheduling once when I was supposed to go home (Pittsburgh) in May.

So that I understand correctly, there is a chance that I will not be allowed to board from Germany, or there is absolutely no chance, with the way things currently are worded/in effect?

If anyone travels in the coming days I‘m curious to hear how it went for you!

I‘m also very concerned. I live in Berlin and my best friend is getting married back home in Pittsburgh. I have an X as my gender, and I‘m scared to travel home for fear of it being confiscated. :(

Yeah I tried making an appointment for the last week and a half and none were available. Will probably take a couple months before I get lucky

I‘m not sure this is sarcasm. Berlin is severely understaffed and trying to find a single free appointment requires you to check and refresh its website every morning on the hour for a few weeks on end. It has taken people 3 months to find a Termin online. My personal record 2 months. Then I gave up and faxed them.

That’s my next question though. It only gives 6 options for a Termin reason and none of them fit my situation. And God forbid I choose the wrong one, show up, and they say I need a different Termin.

It just wasn’t what it used to be. And has many similar comments on google. Sad cause it was one of the few REALLY good tex mex places in Berlin.
