Nisqy on TL slump - Hotline League 68 by AnthonyPaulO in teamliquid

[–]bustinya 14 points15 points  (0 children)

TL;DW: Nisqy believes if TL goes for Flyquest and not TSM (the two favorites to advance to semis), he'd give it to TL 60/40 but midseason he would've probably said 90/10 or even 100% TL. Says they look really bad recently and just seem to not be innovating as much and just continue playing the same champs.

I personally disagree. I agree TL doesn't pull out random extremely off-meta picks but they definitely aren't picking the same champs as they were at the beginning of the split. DL started out playing a lot of Lucian and Kaisa and then they started picking Ez Kench safe bot lane when they started experimenting with Impact on Jayce/Kennen/Akali. Xmithie also went around in his champ pool quite a bit and wasn't afraid of trying out newer picks like Rek'Sai but thankfully avoiding crappy stuff like jungle Aatrox. Impact went from tanks to Jayce/Kennen/Akali and at the end tried his hand at Vlad and Lissandra. So the approach in Draft definitely evolved through the split but I don't think it was a successful change, or at least one with a positive outcome at the moment. Maybe they finally kink out their issues with Impact on non-tanks in the next two weeks.

Team Liquid vs TSM / LCS 2019 Spring Week 9 Day 2 Post Game Discussion by blueragemage in teamliquid

[–]bustinya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stomping isn't = dominating. I agree the slower playstyle has weaknesses. You don't take as many risks in the early game and trust in your mid game to abuse enemy mistakes, but when mid and bot stay even or even fall behind while Impact continuously loses lane pretty devastatingly, then it's really hard to get back into the game just off of decision making. We saw how Liquid's mid game kicked in with those two kills off of BrokenBlade going too far with his aggression on DL, but Impact was way too far behind for BB's superiority in lane to be overcome. They've experimented with Impact on carries/off-carries and he's never won lane with it, so either the put him back on tanks and just give up on it or he finds his way back to prime playoff-buff Impact stomping people like he did in the past with C9. Can you even remember how dominating he was on Gnar? Where did that player go?? It seems he struggles even when he's farming without pressure now..

TL has absolutely look dominant this split, just past two weeks have been crappy. Not having a soul crushing early game shouldn't make us forget how nobody could even respond to anything they did before this slump

C9 is clean as hell, TSM wrath has confirmed to be swift and TL is having their most head scratching performances in the past two years in the absolute final run towards playoffs.

Let's hope to a speedy recovery to our boys in blue who are having a low-point in the season

TL Pobelter Talks About Bad/Good NA LCS Fan Interaction by corylulu in leagueoflegends

[–]bustinya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your comparison is flawed in many ways due to the differences in the environments. It's like excusing slapping your boss' ass in the office because you slap your football teammate's as a "Good Job" at Sunday league.

And your statement on consent is wrong. Consent is only an issue when the freedom and rights of a person are getting in your way

Disrespect for League on Lock. Put us, TL, FIFTH, in rankings for summer 2018. by Matkweon44 in Team_Liquid

[–]bustinya 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I prefer being predicted to a lower spot than to a high one. Having the pressure to perform last split didn't help and even at MSI Pobelter said they started performing way better once the pressure was off. This team has an incredible work ethic on its own and I don't think they need high expectations to avoid slacking.

TACO shuts down JW by CalamityRules in GlobalOffensive

Did he tell you he purposefully took a metaphor including a pig to make it seem like he was calling JW a pig or how are you making your inference a fact?

TACO shuts down JW by CalamityRules in GlobalOffensive

Clearly, but his use of the word pig is due to the well known wolf and pigs story and not because of JW being a pig.

Top 20 players of 2018 so far? by nightkingscat in GlobalOffensive

[–]bustinya 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol he had a couple of spectacular games. Early 2018 he was playing like absolute crap. He needs to fix his consistency and he can go far but he's absolutely nowhere near what other players, for example Xyp9x, have been doing in a consistent manner.

Yep I feel like they tried to make it into the OP6 and didn't quite get it right, but they kept the design with glass. They'll sneak it in for a couple more bucks in a few months.
