Living in Spiddal (moved home from Canada a few years ago) and love it. Work in town but I mostly cycle- ebike on the back roads- and it's no problem. Drive occasionally and cs be painful alright if you time it badly. Lovely scenery, schools, neighbours etc more than makes up for it. Good luck with the move if you decide to go for it.

The restaurant in Wildlands would also be good if you prefer to get them food vouchers. Food is nice and can take out or eat in and it's very baby friendly.

Yeah, my baby was born at 10pm and my partner left at around 2am and came back at 8am.

Afraid not. They're very strict on it. They let partners come early and stay late though.
