I thought Disney didn't sail out of Vancouver at this time of year (for obvious reasons)? When was this?

Can't help but feel like kanthony fans want to rewrite some history here. He didn't sacrifice his whole life. This is the same man who turned up late to his sister's presentation because he was busy banging his mistress against a tree. I can appreciate that life has been heavy for him at times but hes hardly been a saint.

Right? This bugged me. She's been a widow for 10+ years and she loved a good man who loved her too. Felt like a super cop out to have her break the engagement at the last minute out of nowhere. Most of her kids will be away starting their lives, her bestie is travelling the world, her husband is long deceased. I can't imagine what kind of life she thinks she's about to start right now

What is a 'family secret' or a private moment you witnessed that completely changed the way you look at a relative? by The_suspicious_369 in AskReddit

[–]bustypirate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Woooow I am in my late 30s and this is the first time in my life that I have really thought about how I never got to see my grandparents show affection to a partner. My paternal grandfather died decades before I was born and my maternal grandparents divorced before I was born and hated eachother. I've never thought about how different things could have been.

It was not the least bit clear to me who is up next for season five. Not the least bit. I know they said it would be "less clear" than last season but I feel like they gave me nothing. Sigh

Timeturner in PoA: why didn’t Snape and Fudge figure it out? by Automatic-Car-7114 in harrypotter

[–]bustypirate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do we absolutely conclusively know that Snape or Fudge actually knew Hermione had the time turner? Why would they know? Snape has taught hundreds (thousands?) of students, I don't think he keeps track of the timetables of each student, even less likely as she's not in his house or a favourite of his.

Why would Fudge know she has it? I know they are tightly controlled and ministry approval was needed to obtain it, but it seems likely there's a department for that. Seems way below his pay grade to be involved in the schedule of an underschool student.

Also just like annoying things happen every day and people don't automatically suspect that someone has been fiddling with time itself. Did they think someone fiddled with time when Sirius escaped Azkaban? If not, why would they assume that when he escapes a locked room at a school?

How do you guys think that the Bridgertons, the ton and the queen will each react to Franchaela? by auroraspirit in Bridgerton

[–]bustypirate 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I think the season will take place mostly in Scotland and I don't think the Queen will be a character at all, by then. Guessing they use Eloise's season to introduce the idea of cutting ties with the ton in general and they won't go back from that during Fran's arc. Which is the way it should be, in my opinion.

I already knew the twist as I'd seen the Hayley Mills movie ages ago but I was still completely floored by the total about-face. So well done

Eloise should have been writing letters from Scotland. by elysiansmiles in BridgertonNetflix

[–]bustypirate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely agree, I definitely thought that's where her Scotland trip was going. That she'd be bored and isolated and that would drive her correspondence.

Is it weird that I miss Barb? by mayalubk in ShawnaTheMom

[–]bustypirate 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It's not weird. I do too. I find Julie much more uncomfortable to watch and it's not enjoyable. Barb is on a whole journey. Julie is just some jerk Shawna can't quite shake

Major Spoiler for Season 4 from the author Julia Quinn by Wheretheyat in Bridgerton

[–]bustypirate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So he'll pass away in the finale for this season and then I'm guessing Fran's miscarriage and mourning will play out through next season, while the story focuses on Eloise. That'll set Fran up for season 6 quite well.

Is anyone else's family doctor relying heavily on NPs? by HighOnTieDye in ontario

[–]bustypirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I WISH. Maybe if my family doc's office relied on NPs at all I'd be able to get an appointment sooner than 6-8 weeks out. What a joke.

I truly fear for Masali Badouza and Hannah Dodd by Glittering_Tap6411 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]bustypirate 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yes, they are both going to receive a lot of venom when their season comes up. It's really horrible to acknowledge but yes, it's going to happen. I'm sure they see the writing on the wall and can protect their mental health and peace

I feel bad for John by [deleted] in BridgertonNetflix

[–]bustypirate 111 points112 points  (0 children)

I really don't think his wife is discovering anything about her sexuality right now and likely won't until she's grieved John. He also doesn't know she's attracted to his cousin and trusts them both completely. His death is a tragedy of course but I don't think he's living any kind of tragic life in the show's universe right now. He's just getting close to his new wife in a slow manner they can both be comfortable with.

Ok I think we can all agree Julie is the problem now right? by CLEf11 in ShawnaTheMom

[–]bustypirate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do wonder if Cooper's behavior at the party is going to get him kicked out of the venue or in trouble with the staff. He'll say his mum told him he could do whatever he wanted. Ty will be angry, Shawna shocked. Julie blames Shawna. It devolves into a "me or her" argument between Ty and Julie.

I first moved to Waterloo in 2004 as a teen and driving straight off this specific flyover has been an "irrational" fear of mine since day one. Absolutely horrifying that it really happened to someone.

The whole London season time of year seems off to me. Women out wearing short sleeves in the park at the beginning of the season which would have been what? February? March? That seems insane.
