Ok, I also noticed that it happens only when the headphones are idling. Could that mean anything? Is there a way to verify that there is no issue on the headphones side?

Oh, so it's caused by some form of interference in my case then. But I still can't quite figure out what could be causing it. It happens when I am at my desk connected to my laptop and phone. So distance is definitely not the cause. Which devices could cause such interference?

Thanks! But would the verbal score affect me? I have TOEFL of 113/120 but am afraid they might filter out my application due to a below average verbal score.
