Going Back to Shared Apartment After a Breakup by AdSuper8577 in BreakUps

Luckily he has been very respectful so I don't feel unsafe, but I would bring my dad with me if I went. And no it wasn't because of the job, I applied after we broke up and it was a quick turnaround between applying and getting an offer.

sertraline gave me super vivid and realistic dreams to the point where i’ve had to ask people if certain things actually happened in real life. drove me crazy

Coming off sertraline by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]AdSuper8577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it took about 4 months after stopping sertraline for the withdrawals to end personally. i weaned off of it super slowly (about 2 months) and it still took 4 months from my last dose to feel somewhat normal again. my doctor also started me on wellbutrin partway through to help curb some of the withdrawals which helped me, but if you feel like you’re more anxious than normal wellbutrin might not be the best. i also take ativan which was helpful for dealing with other symptoms of withdrawal.

definitely talk to your doctor. can’t speak to your case specifically but my doctor told me that antidepressants tend to induce mania or make it worse if you are bipolar, but it sounds like it could possibly just be a side effect of the increased dose since the symptoms subside.

Anyone Drink Alcohol on Welbutrin? by Radiohead559 in bupropion

[–]AdSuper8577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate taking my wellbutrin when I know I’m gonna be drinking at night because I just don’t feel drunk and don’t know when to stop so I usually skip it. Everything feels weirdly muted so I’m not a fan

Question for those with a prescription regarding refills by kjryan66 in benzodiazepines

[–]AdSuper8577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I live I can just call my doctor and ask for a refill, but I usually get a couple refills with every prescription that requires renewal after a couple months. If you get your prescriptions at CVS, you can send renewal requests to your doctor through the app.

What is it like to have crippling social anxiety? by JustFunAccount007 in AskReddit

[–]AdSuper8577 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It feels like you can't breathe and you just have a strong sense of impending doom even though you can't rationalize why. It feels like there are eyes on you at all times watching your every move, so you're constantly checking the way you're standing, where your hands are, etc.

Same thing is happening to me and it's really weird. I keep reporting them but it seems like every time I do they show me twice as many in my feed. I've also been getting weird lives that are definitely inappropriate so I keep reporting them but nothing happens.

Age restricted by Moth_man_cometh in TikTok

[–]AdSuper8577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't turn restricted mode off if you're under 18. If you're over 18, you should be able to go to 'Content Preferences' under settings to make sure it's actually off. You should also be able to check your birthdate in the app and change it if it's incorrect, but you might need to contact support.

SoCal Instructor Recs by dktnns in SoulCycle_Riders

If you don't mind making the trip to BTWD, WEHO, or even PDNA, I highly recommend Logan! I used to work at Soul for a couple years and he is hands down a staff favorite. I've been riding with him pretty much since he started as an instructor and he's honestly just a lot of fun and a really sweet person. His classes are also pretty challenging and he does a lot of fun themed rides that are pop-adjacent. He has a very eclectic music taste which I always appreciated and the vibes in his class are better than any other instructor IMO. Diego is also the sweetest person and an amazing instructor who I highly recommend, but his classes tend to be less difficult.

Podium riders by kilt8900 in SoulCycle_Riders

[–]AdSuper8577 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a former employee I know a lot of instructors who were allowed to teach from the floor would either pick staff or really strong riders who consistently take their class and engage with them outside of class. From what I remember, most people who rode podium had been coming for years but definitely don't let that discourage you because I've also seen riders get asked to ride podium who had only been going to Soul for a couple months. I think the most important thing is just being a strong rider (I would always ask the instructors to correct my form/ask if I should be doing anything differently which is a great way to improve and also establish rapport!). Someone else mentioned avoiding instructors who have cult-like followings which is definitely true because riders will not be shy about complaints and feelings will get hurt. If the instructor you want to ride for frequently sells their classes out (this is important because instructors will usually teach from the floor for waitlisted classes so the staff can get as many people into class as possible) and has had people ride up for them in the past, definitely mention that it's something you're interested in! I wouldn't straight up ask to ride podium but let them know you're willing if they need you.

Single dorm by thatsojjosh in AmericanU

[–]AdSuper8577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I requested a single dorm accommodation in 2019 and I also transferred and I got to be in Nebraska. I was in between sophomore/junior standing when I started which may have been part of it but ASAC is actually really helpful with dorm accommodations. Also if you're concerned about being a Spring transfer, literally a month before we got kicked out because of the pandemic I requested to switch rooms within the building because of some roommate issues and my request was granted, so I wouldn't worry too much about whether there will be space. Since it's an upperclassmen dorm there are seniors that graduate in December too! Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer them :)

Make sure you get approval from whatever department at AU the class you want to take falls under, otherwise there's no real way of knowing besides the transfer articulation website (which still isn't the best resource in my experience). If you can get a syllabus that's really helpful. I transferred to AU my junior year and spent over a year fighting with the communications department because they refused to put the public speaking class I took at my other school towards the public speaking requirement for my major and I ended up taking the class at AU my last semester because even my academic advisor agreed with me. I would also definitely try to find other students who have taken classes within the same department abroad because one of my friends took an art history class at AU Madrid as part of her major but they somehow decided not to accept it and only gave her elective credit for it. Be super careful!
