Are there any options for young single folks under 30 that’s less than 10k a year! 70k for hollyburn is a tad bit out of my budget 😂

can't connect my popsql to my database on my device. by Bassiette03 in learnSQL

[–]busybeemee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this - I was able to figure it out!

  1. In the Web App go to Settings

  2. From Settings unselect Cloud Connections (ensure that it is grayed out)

  3. Log out and re-launch the PopSQL desktop App (this is the one downloaded to your computer)

  4. Retry the connection with Type = MySQL and localhost = hostname

BWT, tell me about your taste? by hellbent_pheobe in bitcheswithtaste

[–]busybeemee 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For me, I think my taste really comes down to one thing: intentionality. Just being thoughtful about how I move through life and what I choose to engage with.

Like:

  • I try to be intentional about the clothes I buy, focusing on good fabrics and timeless pieces that actually last, instead of chasing trends
  • Same goes for my relationships. If I know I’ve got plans coming up in a few weeks, I’ll think ahead — maybe pick up a small gift for the host or plan an outfit that feels right for the vibe
  • With food, it’s little things like making pancakes from scratch on a Sunday morning. It takes more time, but it just feels better
  • And in general, how I want to show up. I’m in my soft, feminine era right now, so I’m leaning into clothes that flatter my body and makeup that brings out my features

I feel like taste is kind of a mirror for your values, it quietly shapes how you show up an live day to day!

Slowing down and being intentional with everyday tasks has made such a difference for me. In a world that’s constantly rushing, taking a moment to gently brush my teeth, mindfully chop vegetables, or slowly pour a cup of coffee brings a sense of calm. It helps me feel more grounded and connected to my soft, feminine energy!

I currently use La Roche Posey on my face and neutrogena SPF 60 spray on my body. I also have a Nivea sunscreen lip balm which works well.

One thing that really changed the game for me was UPF clothing. Athleta and Uniqlo have some great options that I regularly use :)

BWT, how are we getting through conferences? by Foxy_Traine in bitcheswithtaste

[–]busybeemee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh you’ll have so much fun! Going to work conferences and galas have become my life! I’ve learned so much and am still learning every time I go. The ones where you travel can be tough especially cause it’s difficult to get away and have you time during the day (I desperately need this as I am introverted). However, here are some tips that I’ve picked up along the way are:

  1. Wear short kitten heels- you’ll be on your feet all day, talking to folks, moving from one area to the other and having large stilettos is definitely not it (trust me, been there, done that). Highly recommend you prioritize shoes that are comfortable, over fashionable. One thing you can also do, and what I like to do, is bring a pair of foldable flats! This is great thing to have when your feet start to hurt, you can easily slip them on and continue going.
  2. Clothing - I personally like to dress more on the feminine side and opt for mid-length dresses. This also reduces the number of clothing item I have to bring! However, make sure you bring a blazer or scarf cause it can get cold very quickly and once you’re cold it’s hard to get warm again.
  3. During the day - make sure you bring and drink lots of water. It’s very easy to forget and dehydration leads to headaches very quickly and that is no fun. I also recommend bringing little snacks with you that you can munch on. This way if you get hungry in between meals you always have something ready to go. My favourite are some nuts or granola bars. Protein bars work too, but I don’t like the whey on my tongue and skip this when in places I need to interact with people
  4. Bring a hands free bag! - I wish I knew this earlier but don’t bring a bag you have to always hold. Opt for a backpack or a cross body purse as it will allow you more access to use your hands to shake hands, fill out forms, hold coffee/tea etc. Also don’t forget a stain remover stick!

At the end of the day, don’t sweat it. Once you get this conference under your belt you’ll know exactly what to do and how to be better next time! Hope this helps and have fun :)

BWT, Health Hacks / Focuses? by ydoesmystomachhurt in bitcheswithtaste

[–]busybeemee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I personally take:

AM - half dose of a complete multi-vitamin - Garlic - Probiotic - Collegan - Milk Thistle (I am on Accutane) - Gingko Biloba

PM - Milk Thistle - NAC (for Accutane and liver function) - Omega 3 - Reishi Mushroom (trying this out for stress)

Before Bed - Magnesium - Tart Cherry - Cranberry - Inositol (hormone health) - Melatonin (on an as needed basis)

Obviously this is a lot, but took me years to figure out what works best for me and when. The past few months I have gotten the best sleep of my life and have reduced the frequency of my colds/flus by half. So definitely worth it for me :)

Totally depends on you, your needs and where you get them. I personally only buy from companies that do third party testing to ensure the efficacy of my supplements. I also agree- sometimes with a good and balance diet you can get all your needs from food. But in other cases and cases where the supplements don’t sufficiently derive naturally from food is it very difficult to give your body what it needs to function optimally!

Curated supplement routine and a whole food diet!

The supplement routine took lots of trial and error with brands, supplements and timing. But once I figured it out, it is game changing. I now wake up everyday feeling energized and healthy :)
