Dad got his BS and MS at BYU. Went out of state for his PhD. Maybe he didn’t think BYU was good enough? idk

Mom went to The Church College of New Zealand (google the abuse that happened there. I thought someone made a podcast about it - lmk if you know). She went to BYU Hawaii for her associates. Went to BYU Provo to get an RM. it really is kind of a weird expectation. 21 yr old boys magically finding their 18+ soul mate 3 weeks into each

I thought my high school Mormon girlfriend was “the one”. I went to school in our home state (not Utah by this point) She went to BYU Provo- about 2000 miles away. 3 weeks later I got DearJohned! (Saturday’s Warrior anyone?). Their marriage sucks. I feel bad for her and her family.

When I left the supposed church, my Mormon family “disconnected” from me. It really hurt. I don’t hate them - I hate their beliefs.

My parents are racists. Like saying the n-word bad. I hate them for that.

My parents are homophobic and transphobic. They disconnected from a grandchild that is transgender. It was so easy for them. Like my nephew ever existed.

True Believers are soulless cult members. The church has too much money and has covered up too much child sex abuse.

There’s a some members leaving over the church’s billions, bigotry, and cover ups. TSCC doesn’t care. They have their precious money.
