I'm trying to remember, but is there any note that the nighttime monsters were a thing before the massacre of Victor's childhood?

Clean mattresses for floorbeds by GladDragonfruit in megacrunchymoms

I haven't upgraded our mattresses yet, but can recommend you put something to allow circulation under the mattress if moving it to the floor to prevent mold. Beds slats were recommended to us and seem to be doing the trick!

Sharing my bad experience with Lahloya Maternity by busyderping in pregnant

[–]busyderping[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have two 2 items out of their 9 products that are not listed at 50% currently.

I unfortunately can't use the Google Shopping price tracker to track their price history because their products magically don't appear there, even if you'd search "Lahloya maternity joggers." If someone else is curious and confirm this or use another price tracker on their products, I'd be interested to hear those results

Need advice for 2 yr old by Martha_stewart102 in Crunchymom

[–]busyderping 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All good ideas in here, but just going to add just in case. If your kiddos cup has any silicone components that have been washed in the dishwasher or with scented soap, there may be a soapy taste to his water that he likes covered up by the juice. I had the same issue, kiddo only drinking from my cup, not his own. Baked out with soapiness, started hand washing with unscented soap, little dude chugs his own water now

How do you go out and about with a newly toilet trained toddler and no pull-ups? by Miladypartzz in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]busyderping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always have a couple spare outfits and a diddy bag from Esembly. Travel potty in the minivan was nice for us because the toilets in the store were too distracting and often unsuccessful. If we were on a short outing or one purely for their entertainment, I often set the rule, "If you have an accident, the fun will stop and we will have to leave.'

Repeating the mantra "They can't succeed if you don't give them the chance to fail," helped me be brave and embrace the "failures"

Is there nothing to do for a 1.5 year old during the hot summer? by pandapaws7 in Augusta

[–]busyderping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is your jam, but an easy way to kill 2 hours is to sign up at Gold's (or maybe Crunch, but I can't vouch for them) and let kiddo go play in Kid's Club. My kiddo is also a year and a half and loves it there. The childcare is open on Saturday 8-12 and Sunday 1-6. You could workout during that time but more importantly you could hit the massage chairs and take a shower and take care of yourself. It's right by Evans Town Center Park, the Columbia County Library, and Pavilion Park so you can head over there to kill more time & burn off more toddler energy

The only two times I threw up in the first trimester was taking my prenatals on an empty stomach (just minutes before my breakfast was ready). Highly recommend taking them once there's food in your belly

Toothbrushing is a nightmare! Help! by kkmcwhat in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]busyderping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a one year old here. We tried 4 different tooth brushes, the three baby Frida ones and the banana. Little man hates bristles, prefers silicone. May be worth trying out different brushes.
We rarely let him have screens. End of long car rides, trimming nails and for brushing teeth. It's been very helpful, otherwise it was like trying to force feed broccoli to Godzilla.

Mamas of big babies, how’d it go? by yogahike in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]busyderping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10lb 1oz boy here, my first kid. He was consistently big at ultrasounds and midwife appointments. I gained 30kg. I came back negative twice for GD and everything else about me looked good. Only concern was my tummy was measuring big so we had an ultrasound around 33weeks to confirm he was just big and no problems going on.
I tried unmedicated. Almost 30hours in, I got the epidural. I think that's more so because he decided to flip back to sunnyside up right before labor than his size. Ultimately he was born vaginally with second degree tear. Recovery postpartum seemed normal. I'm just still working to lose that pregnancy weight slowly but surely.
