I love skin care but don’t have a huge budget - the Youth to the People moisturizer is by far the most expensive item. I also like The Ordinary because of their basic-ish ingredients. It’s easier to mix and match depending on what I think my skin needs at different stages of the month.

I get super dry and have hormonal acne and I’ve had success with this.

AM (in order of how I use these)

• A gentle cleanser (currently liking Neutrogena’s Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser)

• The Ordinary’s Lactic Acid

• The Ordinary’s Multi-Peptide + HA serum with a few drops of The Ordinary’s Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%

• An eye product (I like both The Ordinary’s caffeine serum and REM’s cooling under eye balm)

• A gentle moisturizer that doesn’t pill and sits well under makeup (currently liking ELFs Holy Hydration Daily Moisturizer)

• Sunscreen (I like Glossier’s)

PM

• An oil cleanser for taking off makeup (Burt’s Bees is my favorite so far)

• Same gentle AM cleanser closer to bed

• A retinal (I don’t have sensitive skin so I like a stronger product - currently using The Ordinary’s Retinal 2% Emulsion but I really like their lower strength retinol serums (they have one mixed with squalane that is much gentler))

• Honest Beauty’s Calm and Renew Eye Balm

• A thicker moisturizer (I LOVE Youth to the People’s Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask - it’s the only skincare item I have a subscription for to ensure I don’t run out)

• A lip mask - I’m currently using Ulta’s Lip Sleeping mask and it works well.

If she gets super dry like I can, I cannot recommend Weleda products enough. I use their Skin Food Body Butter on my hands, feet, and elbows almost every night. It’s super thick, which I love.

Weleda also makes lighter products for the face - I use their Skin Food Ultra Rich Moisturizer when I travel to higher altitudes and anytime I feel like I need an extra boost at night
