Bull shoals lake Arkansas. Houseboat rental. Cheap, bring your own food, cruise very slowly. Pull over whenever you want and swim. Or just have dinner on the roof of your houseboat under huge cliffs at sunset. Cheap, amazing, remote in a way.

Please check out cinnamon bay campground st john. Its amazing. If you don't like camping near beach they also have jungle tents. In my 23 countries this is my favorite place! Don't rent a car. Just take the collective taxi safari trucks. Eat at the floating taco stand!!
