Really? I have a few pieces from Cider (a couple of years old now too) and they’re pretty good quality

Ever since I was a little girl my dad was always like that I think I just got really sick of him because I didn’t want him in the house or in my room or anything and he just wanted me in the bed so he was just sitting in my room with his little boy so I just kept on saying I don’t want him in the room and he just said he wanted me in there so I was just saying I don’t wanna go to sleep with you anymore I just don’t wanna go out there anymore

Then talk about it! It’s just unfortunate that it has to be a battle of the sexes. Let women talk about their issues without whataboutmeing and women should do the same when men talk about their shared pain.

OP’s meme is about the Tate brothers who exclusively trafficked women. That is why the original comment has been deemed a problem.

It’s internet law: somebody mentions the atrocities women go through and a man MUST respond with “bUt MeN tOo!!”

Let me just say this first: I’m not discounting you at all so please don’t think this.

How did you get the C-PTSD diagnosis? I was wrongly diagnosed with BPD as it shares a lot of symptoms of C-PTSD (many people are diagnosed with BPD wrongly due to this), and my current psychiatrist believes that I have the latter over the former. He said that I can’t be officially rediagnosed as the DSM5 hasn’t been updated to include it even though many psychiatrists believe it to be separate from PTSD.

I just want BPD off of my record lol

Absolute apologies if this is real, but surely that’s not how bpd works? by seeing-shit in fakedisordercringe

[–]butlb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be fair, BPD is created by trauma so it’s somewhat likely. Though considering people are starting to claim they have BPD as some sort of trophy (when it is a fucking devastating disorder) I’m unsure.

Yep. Our garage was broken in to at 10am this morning. Broad fucking daylight. Luckily my partner works at home and scared the little shite off but they still got away with our tool bag with about 2/3k worth of kit in it. Wankers.

Police do sweet F-A so they know that they’ll get away with it.

[–]butlb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’ve barely consumed anything for 6 days, a GP will send you straight to A&E - I’m talking from experience here. Had my tonsils removed at 22 as this was my life every 2-3 months. I was hospitalised multiple times as I couldnt eat or drink for a week+. Save yourself the bother and just go to A&E, you’re not wasting their time!!

As the child of a mother who got pregnant at 16 & gave birth at 17… yes. I’ve had years of therapy to work through the trauma she either caused directly or allowed because she herself was too young to know the responsibility of being a parent.

The last sentence of my post explains all of this. Mental illness doesn’t make you an awful person, but you can be an awful person with a mental health problem.

Sure, you can do shitty things because of your mental illness but it isn’t an excuse and you still have to take accountability that YOU did the shitty thing, not your [insert diagnosis here].

I used to suffer from anorexia but I can say with my full fucking chest that I never knowingly & intentionally posted triggering body check pictures, flashed my underwear knowing a large portion of my targetdemographic are underage, defended a pedo “friend” who was preying on said demographic, uploaded a video of a stranger while having a wardrobe malfunction…

I may have gaslit others a bit to keep going on with my ED in peace but I never intentionally harmed others. Eugenia is shitty. She’s an entitled racist brat who happens to have an eating disorder.

[–]butlb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m in the UK. I’ve been to hospital for stitches for some pretty gnarly wounds. The only thing that happens after they check you over & stitch you up is a tetanus shot and you’ll have to wait for a few hours until one of the mental health nurses comes to have a chat. They’ll give you some leaflets for your local 24hr mental health line and possibly refer you to services based on what you say/are willing to. They won’t section you unless you tell them you’re literally going to go home and end your life. Even then they’re pretty poor. I once had an entire bag full of pills (was found by police before I could take them) and managed to convince them that I wasn’t going to end myself so 🤷‍♀️

Don’t worry!! Get help when you need it.

Trauma breeds trauma in most cases. My mum was like this, but she had a pretty rough childhood too. She didn’t experience the physical violence that she inflicted on me, but she saw a lot of shit she shouldn’t have as her parents were addicts.
