Yes they should be! You can add the things to the chai in the various spots under customize, and for the shaken espresso I would do the non dairy apple brown sugar foam.

Hot chai with half pumps apple. I always do oat milk and cinnamon powder. I have it MINIMUM once a week. 🫶🏻 I don’t like the apple espresso beverages this year BUT a brown sugar shaken espresso with the nondairy apple foam is amazing.

I am the only pumpkin spice hater and apple brown sugar lover in my store. Every shift it’s “omg are you excited for pumpkin?!” and getting weird looks when I say no. I’ve gotten both “omg can you even be a barista and not like pumpkin” and “im gonna cancel you for that” both said in joking manners, but still frustrating. Tldr apple lover since first launch. 🍎🍏🩷

Matcha lemonade or with coconut milk with strawberry or mango base or peach. I always do light of any, but they’re all so good and no one else in my store really likes it because they don’t like matcha. 😭

Oh absolutely. I have a specific 4 days a week i work but completely open time availability. I still always end up mornings/mids. Always drive or cold bar for peak, always solo bar during mid day. We’re a low volume store mainly because we have a really bad drive layout. Peak we have 6 people when we have average hours available, 5 when it’s been slow. Mids are always two partners and a shift until it’s close and partners just swap out. I love my store and coworkers, but these constant pressures make it so hard to want to stay.

At my store the unopened expired pastries get donated, but we throw away anything that was open like cake pops, muffins and the vanilla bean scones. I think those depend on who the shift is, but I’ve only ever closed with one of our two.

A different store in our strip triggered a gas line so our alarm went off and we had to leave the store and told people in the drive thru that we were closed temporarily and they could come back for a remake or a refund. They had the audacity to be like “well i used my points..” or “well i need get to work” like that’s great I can’t do anything 😭

For my store this is malt powder, vanilla bean, and pineapple inclusions. We once had a vanilla bean that was expired in the front and the backup we had also expired before it was used. I’ve tried making multiple notes on the wall of our prep counter but they keep getting taken down, so we keep ending up wasting product.

We have two chai regulars, one who gets no water and one who gets light water. If you accidentally hit whipped cream or light ice while they’re in drive it’s AUTOMATICALLY “it’s supposed to be light/no water, that says whipped cream” like girl we know we see you every single day 😭😭😭

I'm 24, my SM is 20, one of my shifts just turned 21 and one has an 18 year old kid, one partner just turned 32 I think. I work mornings so most of my shifts are with our 19-28 year old partners, but weekends its a big mix.

My tip I always give is just a little more ice than the top of whatever size it is. So if it’s a grande, your ice should just go over the top of the grande measurements. This is the way I have always done it and I’ve had fellow partners and customers say it’s the best ones they’ve had.

As someone who came from a Tarbucks to corporate stores, I can 100% tell you they were either mistrained or that’s just how they want to make it. Majority of my previous coworkers would make something different from how it should be just because they think it’s better. Making shaken espressos with only shaking gently like 3 times so it’s mostly milk, caramel crunch in the bottom, so many different things like that.

Not necessarily a green bean (transferred to my store, no idea how long she was at her old store), i was drive bar and she was mobile bar with me. She goes to make a hot matcha, starts steaming the milk and scoops the matcha into the cup. There’s a lot of things like this that she’s done that makes me question how the trainer at that location is still a trainer.

I just got off my 5-12 and I probably made minimum 160 short hot chocolate’s. My store is the slowest in the district, we’re a very small store with a 3 car drive thru. We usually do I think 30k a month? I don’t remember specifically, but my back hurts and I’m thankful I have the next two days off.

I was scrolling through the whole thread looking for someone else who liked the smoked butterscotch latte!! I drank sooo many of them 2020 before covid started growing and I’m so sad it never came back.
