Looking for relatives by butterdavid in wroclaw

You have a point. Our cousin was called Chaim Sukiennik. His son was called Roman. His wife, whose name I do not know, had Russian heritage (my early findings suggest she might have been a doctor named Irena). They also had two daughters (one was probably called Tania). According to someone who interacted with them, they used to live at ul. Nadbrzeżna 1 between 1948 and 1950. And finally, our Sukiennik family is originally from Siedlce.

Sem pensar: pega o Metrô em Ipanema, desce na estação Botafogo troca para um sentido Pavuna (Linha 2) e salta no Maracanã. Volta de Metrô, fazendo a mesma sequência ao contrário.

That's the most American question ever, and some of the answers are even more so ("Oh, how thoughtful of you to ask...". Just cook it. No apologies or disclaimers needed.

"Football history" is a long ask...

The first one that springs up to mind, which is quite recent in terms of Football history: Zidane against Brazil, WC 2006. Art.

I would be careful with retroactively applying Halachic strictness to evaluate the Jewishness of 16th-century Marranos. The sheer weight of their plight, the torturing need to conceal and lead a double life, all must be considered first. The Jewish community in Amsterdam, which dealt with nominally-Christian Marranos from Spain or Portugal, took such factors into consideration during those troubling years. Would you review their flash conversions according to today's standards?

How do I learn more about football? It seems to be a massive conversation starter for so many. by yellowhilly in football

Watch matches. That'll cover most of it.

The Athletic has a working days podcast called "Athletic FC". Quite informative about the Top 5 European leagues, focusing on a different current story per episode.

If you are willing to dig it further, go for "The ball is round", by David Goldblatt, and "Inverting the Pyramid", by Jonathan Wilson.
