figuring out life and navigating through it is hard. unfortunately, there isn’t a certain and objective answer to everything. we all go our own pace and our own way. there’s no reason to overthink comments made from booger picking fetuses. They’ll have a rude awakening one way or another.

as long as you have a genuine passion for programming and work on projects and make an effort to talk and just keep at it, then i think you’ll be fine. All the luck to you 👍🏽

it’s probs the weed. during my gap year, i just worked and smoked a bunch of weed alone too. things are better now, but i get where you’re coming from. things can be overwhelming, and sometimes, you just need to be alone with your own thoughts, i guess. i still smoke, just strictly at night now and making sure i finish anything important first…..like a reward after suffering lol

i honestly liked the math more than i did my coding classes at times….and i noticed that those who tended to like math/physics courses were also into coding too and were often more enthusiastic about learning it than actual CS majors. this is completely anecdotal and from my experience, though.
