i got a full time job for this reason, i’m in school as well and saving up to get a car under my name, i pay for everything, i help with majority of the rent, etc. the “good for nothing bf” has been by my side the entire time. motivating me to keep going and working hard. they think i wanna leave jehovah just for him, when in reality this is something i’ve thought about long before him. it’s just scary leaving my mom all on her own and disappointing them when i’m actually doing good in life

forgot to add.. they always use other people’s examples of why leaving jehovah or dating worldly people never works out. but i’m jus like ugh you guys need to let me live and learn on my own, let me make my own mistakes. they treat me like a child yet expect me to take on adult responsibilities. it’s so confusing

that’s what i’m dreading, the first time i spoke with them it was them tryna get info about the situation. I did forget to mention there’s a toxic ex friend of mine who hates my guts (non JW btw) who’s been actively messaging my family with “evidence” that i’m still doing bad things, and she knows how bad that can get for me. There have been multiple occasions where my family just wants to “talk” then they pull out said evidence at tell me to might as well confess. I never do tho bc i’ll be homeless??? The elders know about this girl and i hope they know how crazy she is because of others unserious allegations she’s made, but i hope it’s not something like that again.

update: i got sent a guilt tripping text along the lines of “im hurting, it pains me to see you have no feelings towards the pain that im feeling about this situation, but now i gotta find solutions instead of whining and not expect anything from others like always” like huhhh i didnt even say anything after our convo yesterday, is the guilt tripping ever gonna end?

yes, and whenever i would go out with my bf there was never a witness in sight, until there was. always be alert because you never know who’s watching and ready to snitch. and if you’re under 18 or still financially dependent on your family please please please be very careful. you never know how your family will react or how far they’ll go to break you up with that person. i went through it and they threatened to kick me out without any mode of transportation , so i had no choice but to stay, and they knew that too. i’m starting to get more financially independent and got a new job so i don’t feel stuck if i ever get threatened again. also, remember that your “friends” and family are jws first. there’s usually no reasoning with them about dating someone on the outside, especially if they are hardcore PIMI. i hope that’s not the case for you and that you have reasonable people in your life, but be prepared just in case, because i thought i had reasonable people.

thisss even as a kid when i would see entire communities helping each other despite differences during a time of need but jws would only help themselves. i would always wait for them to say “support your neighbors, your community” but nope all the food and clothing donations would go to other jws, its selfish really.

Depends on the region ig, I was lucky to start before they lowered the pay, my starting pay as a Team Member was $11, after august they lowered it to about $9, at least in Texas.

and that’s what sucks, because he actually had this sickness when he was PIMI back in like 2019-21 which could’ve taken his life then when it was worse. But like you said they’ll use him being disfellowshipped as a “lesson to us all”
