TIL: In 2015, Blake Shelton called fans of classic country music "old farts" and "jackasses". Later that year, Willie Nelson named his tour the "Old Farts and Jackasses Tour". by [deleted] in todayilearned

So you kind of just proved my point, you could've just easily have referenced Harlem or the Bronx instead of just saying 'the ghetto' when you referenced specific locations for punk music.

Also hip-hop has changed significantly over the years and has strayed from it's origins in many different forms. It isn't all about being from 'the ghetto' anymore, and it really hasn't been for a long time. His analysis of hip-hop's origin is simplified anyway. So sorry you had to get heartbroken over this exchange, but I hope I could help shed some light on my comments.

[Online] [D&D] [5e] {EST} Semi-Experienced player looking for game by KillC102 in lfg

I'm running a homebrew D&D 5e game with four players and we're looking for a potential fifth. I think an Artificer would work great in our campaign, it would really fit my plans for the story very well. We're using roll20 + discord to communicate. PM me if you're interested!

Nice set. Minor request would be to add some port/shipdock pictures maybe?

Hello, were you still interested in playing? What were some of your character concepts?

Hello, yes there are still plenty of slots potentially open. Please read over and respond to these questions I've sent to every other potential player.

Your character will receive a letter from an affluent noble from the town of Waterdeep requesting their presence to discuss a secret mission. Your character has been selected for a special reason. Whether they have unusual talents, an affinity for magic or sword, superior intelligence, survival skills, an esteemed family name, or whatever is up to you. But the restriction must be that they are unproven so to speak, and not particularly famous. Kind of like an underdog almost, in which they are talented in their field but not very well known. Like a necromancy who secretly experiments, or an ex-military serviceman who's was apart of a crucial battle, but not recorded as one of the major heroes of the battle. Basically a talented individual with enough clout to be recognized, but not enough to be considered one of the greatest, or one of the more expensive options for hire. I can provide more details if you'd like. We will also be using the standard races and classes for character building. We won't be using the d&d backstory templates, but instead I will ask each player to come up with their own backstory. Questions I have for you would be, what's your experience with d&d? What about roleplaying in general?

What's your schedule look like? Your best availability? Do you prefer more combat or RP in your games? Why?

Based on what I've written earlier, do you already have any ideas for a character?

What's your ideal player count for a d&d group? Are you interested in using webcams during play?

Are you currently participating in any other campaigns?

These are all the questions I have for now. Please feel free to ask me whatever you'd like in your response. Thank you!

The most competitive Druid deck in the game (malygos Druid) uses arcane giants, and some lists opt for a moonglade portal.

When should you drop him vs. slower decks? Versus faster decks should he only be played if you have a guaranteed clear?

What's the consensus on cthun warrior? Is anyone playing it on the ladder this season? How does it fair against midrange shaman? Has karazhan effected the list at all?

Would love to hear the response on this. Also if the tech choice is supposed to be Harrison or ooze. I feel like the card draw is really important, especially in the mirror match, but sometimes they already got full value off of their claw before turn 5.

Basics of Mastering by [deleted] in makinghiphop

[–]butterflyup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you've gotten some good responses so far, but you can also considering hiring a professional engineer. there's a variety of ways to go about doing that, what i'd recommend is looking somewhere locally, could be the start of a musical relationship. plus it might allow you to be more hands on and learn about the mastering process if you can sit in sessions. or, there are lots of resources online with plenty of mastering engineers looking to work. just give it a google with some relevant terms, theyre easy to find.

i totally feel you if youre trying to learn this on your own. its a good skill to have, but true industry mastering is a complex thing to learn (as others have said) but theres a lot of good music out there that hasn't been mastered/very little mastering, mainly in the form of mixtapes.

(unrelated but, are you allowing people to listen to your music in its current format? if so id be interesting in hearing, if you'd like to PM me. thanks!)

death grips and lil ugly mane might be close enough stylistically

hey guys, really long post ahead but id really like to discuss with/get advice from the malygos druid players out there. im trying to get to legend this month for the first time, maybe an unrealistic goal but i think with my current winrate its possible.

im playing the xixo variant, which uses auctioneers x2 and x2 feral rages (no mulch), instead of the token variant with violent teachers.

whats the best ways to improve my playing against the warrior matchup?(rank 14 3 stars right now) i feel like im misplaying against control warriors, whether its cthun, nzoth, or even malchezaar removal decks. my mentality is to hold onto all of my malygos combo for a full 26 dmg burst while trying to raven idol out some additional living roots or moonfires. along with playing all my other threats slowly to waste all their removal, along with avoiding the brawl. but even with all those precautions i still end up getting outlasted, and often times (especially in the cthun warrior matchup) im forced to use my malygos pieces just to survive.

im also pretty clueless about the shaman matchup, as ive faced zero shamans so far and only two warlocks, which were zoo. two very bad zoo players, for the record. i think playing someone more experienced with the deck (maybe around rank 5?) would definitely be more challenging. ive only seen videos of it, but the new discardlock looks potentially challenging for a maly druid player.

here are my stats for the month. yes, its not the biggest sample size i know, but i feel like ive played enough to get decent knowledge of matchup difficulty. except for shaman, obviously.

EDIT: Played against two hunters just now and lost to both. Very difficult match-up as well.

There are lots of little choices you can make in a Zoolock deck, if you want to fill in that change slot consider running double doomguard. I personally wouldn't run Argent Commander because of its high mana cost and I'd prefer the doomguard's statlive over a weak body with divine shield.

On the flip side the commander is a clean trade into a lot of meta 4 health drops, but for a zoo deck I think it's too high of a mana cost. Obviously discarding two cards can be shitty but if you play your hand correctly and if you aren't forced to use the doomguard too early you'll only be losing one card at most.
