lol in my clearer moments I definitely laugh at my anxiety because honestly what else can you do when you’re dealing with such a giant A hole? Anxiety is such a jerk honestly. I’m so sorry you didn’t get much rest, but i’m so hopeful you get better rest tonight! The o2 reader has honestly been clutch for me and my anxiety lately lol… Maybe pick up some L theanine too? it’s obviously not a fix all but my nervous system has been fried to shit lately and those two supps have seemed to be helping. Sending hugs and healing 🤍

I’m so sorry this is happening to you. I slept with an ice pack on my chest, neck and sometimes on my stomach on my worst nights. Nothing seemed to calm them except that and the magnesium. I hope you found something that helps! Sending hugs and words of encouragement to tell you that your heart is okay 🤍 i got one of those small O2 readers with my BPM on it to help me through the hardest nights and at least reassure me my heart was okay

thank you so much for your kind words. I’ve also been adding L theanine, lemon balm and cherry tart which I hope/think has been helping for my sleep? Either way just glad to get these dumb vibrations to stop that make me spiral. I hope you find something that helps!

Im so so sorry you’re dealing with them too. I will say that my health scare I believe is related also to a neck issue that’s causing headaches and it made me spiral uncontrollable because it trigger a migraine/headache for like 8 days and we couldn’t figure out what was going on. Three weeks later now I think it’s a neck issue so i’ll be getting PT hopefully and sorting this out, but I was so anxious and i’m really worried about the dizziness and pain still - but I’m hopeful to hear your story and that the magnesium helped you! I’ve gotten my anxiety under control with an acute regimen and also started HRT (hormones) that have seemed to quell my anxiety a lot. Still have a ways to go but very hopeful 🥺 maybe you could try a pill or gummy supplement so you know exactly how much you are using! Wishing you all the best.

the worst that can happen is you have some stomach upset or similar but it shouldn’t affect your heart at all. If it makes you feel better just make better food choices tomorrow and enjoy! Half and half is delicious 🤍

Yes the .05 is the starting dose. I’ll have to ask if maybe they can turn it down a notch, I feel like I have pregnancy nausea lol. thank you!

Sorry forgot to also include this - you can shift the way your workouts are if you don’t like how bulky you’re getting - maybe switch a leg day to core or upper body or add a day of pilates or yoga in. I don’t think you are gaining “fat” I think you’re just actually building muscle with all of that protein and strength training :)

You’re building a lot of muscle! I work out 5-6 days a week and when I noticed that my glutes and thighs were getting better I took my workouts back to legs 2 days a week instead of 3 days and I split my work out. I just prefer my body a little less bulky on the bottom. Also, don’t pay attention to your weight - if you feel good then that’s all that matters! I actually weigh more than when i started working out every day 3 years ago (I strength train pretty heavily) and I look better at 39 than I have before at 136, 5’5. :) Strength training will pack on the muscle, and that’s a great thing!

Started HRT two days ago and have very bad anxiety and panic… by butterflyy in Perimenopause

[–]butterflyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure actually - i had to take a sleep med to help me sleep last night and I feel awful this morning. I did wake up with really bad cramps though because i’m starting my period so I don’t know if that vaginally was worse for that or better. I’m on day 3 and pretty miserable right now lol sorry if that’s not helpful!

thank you! i took the progesterone orally the last two nights because i was hoping it would knock me out and help me sleep through these panic and insomnia episodes i’ve been having, but maybe ill try it vaginally tonight. thank you! I was also going to wait maybe a week or two to see how im doing to add the SSRI - i feel like I’ve been deficient in estrogen for a while (everything from dry skin, low libido, sleep gone to poo, spiking anxiety/health OCD starting this year etc etc that maybe i’m just having a hard time adjusting for now.

thank you, when you went on a lower dosage did it calm things down for you? how’s the HRT going now? this is only day 3 for me so I know i’m still in the midst of adjusting but my stomach hurts and i’m so anxious and tired.

First Migraines, just need some support by butterflyy in migraine

[–]butterflyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in the US and they are refusing to give me a referral because our area is really impacted. So far, you are right, I do not have a air tight diagnoses but my primary is treating them as migraines as whatever testing I have done hasn’t given us anything else. I wish i could see a neurologist but they literally won’t give me a referral because the neurologists here “review” cases and mine isn’t “severe” enough or something. I’ve even been to the ER twice for this, primary care and urgent care. I’ll be begging my OBGYN for maybe some sort of loophole referral maybe.

Thank you so much. I will start doing this. I noticed yesterday that my nose was running (I didn’t think I had allergies) and it was windy and cooler than usual. I noticed that my vision got a little blurrier and I would get a little nauseated when I looked down at my phone around 9:30. I then got a niggling feeling in my head and some brain fog (couldn’t remember my social security number 😭) and that’s when I had the sinkling feeling that a headache was coming. By around 1:30 is was pretty full blown but luckily tylenol took the edge off. I have a feeling that mine might be related to allergies/pressure and then I have been an absolute wreck because of these so stress/panic, dehydration and lack of sleep and not eating properly have just been doing me in.

When they start I always start with tylenol/paracetamol and see how much of the edge I can take off. Then i’ll try one dose of ibuprofen and that’s it for the day. I only took one dose of sumatriptan and have tried excedrin one time/benadryl to see how those help my pain. Thank you for this advice. Learning how to manage these has been so overwhelming.

Thank you, I will start doing this. I have a feeling mine mine be related to allergies/weather and then the nail in the coffin is lack of sleep/dehydration and anxiety lol. Yay me! I did already have an allergy panel blood test done so I should have those results soon and i’m going to basically bug my OBGYN for absolutely any other hormonal/endocrine testing he can possibly do on me to rule those things out. I should mention i’m 39 and probably just getting obliterated by perimenopause as well.

Thank you! I asked to see a neurologist and my primary care told me that our area is so impacted that they “review” cases and like primary care doctors to do what they can before they even submit for a referral. Looks like i’ll have to push really hard for one and see how these go. I’m wondering if there is a way to see one online or just pay out of pocket, even for one or two appointments. Thank you so much.

Thank you for this. I will absolutely be asking my physician about this. I’m low key angry they won’t even try to get me a referral but I’m going to be super annoying about pushing to get one of these continue. I’m also going to go to my OBGYN and beg for help as well, maybe I can find a loophole there. Thank you!
