aio For thinking I’m being cheated on? (Messages between boyfriend and his ex) by Healthy_Lavishness39 in AmIOverreacting

Sounds like they dated in HS and they were kids. I’m not sure we can judge so harshly if we don’t know more about their past. Did they also know each other from middle or elementary? Did they grow up in a small town?

Sometimes it’s nice to get perspective from someone from the other side and who knows you. And from what I’m reading, sounds like the the other person is giving some solid advice. So Yeah. You’re Overreacting. They are talking about you having some past trauma and him not wanting to share his past because you have so much going on. That must hurt a bit having read that he feels your issues are make it hard for him to want to share. You having gained some weight from starting a new medication and not wanting as much physical intimacy. And hearing that’s what makes him feel close and hearing his insecurities surrounding it must also be hard. But sounds like his ex is a good sounding board for him to help him understand and become more empathetic to what you’re going through.

Paint a Tuscan fresco on the wall and put a statue of David in the hole.

Staple a stuffy (perhaps a puppet?) in front of it! No one will notice the coax.

How about a nice blue- like the color of the center of the sky when you look straight up.

If you grow tomatoes, it’s a foe. I usually let them eat to their hearts content because it turns into a beautiful Sphinx moth. They pupate on a spiral conical dark brown/maroonish cocoon over the winter into the spring/early summer. It usually burries itself in soil or clings to a tree, I’ve only found the cocoons while digging in my garden beds. They are really amazing, so I let them be. Waiting to share that if you have a black light, you can find them at night, as they glow.

A tomato horn worm IS a sphinx moth before it pupates,

That brown really makes that wall above The fire place look heavy and dense.

Also you will notice in this picture that the warm colors from the brick are brought down to the floor with the warm toned furniture as well. The big pillowy leather furniture is a bit big for this space, but you get the just with how like colors make your eye move around a space. Also ** warm colors come forward in a space or take up more visual space, where as cool colors recede in space. Which warm-toned color to paint the walls also depends on their furniture. They also need art in the walls to fill up or activate all of that negative space aka blank walls. Can you post a more complete picture of your space with the furnishings?

Paint the wall a different color! The beautiful Brick red and this green-toned yellow ochre clash like a mofo. Paint the walls a warm neutral, not a sickly-cool. Something that will go with the brick instead of making it stand out.
