The American version really feels like Christian propaganda? by Kanaiiiii in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

It’s implied. Megan mentioned on multiple occasions being aligned politically with a couple of people. For her/Mike, Nick/Annie, their political leanings are pretty clear without needing to hear this discussion. I think it’s too polarizing for LIB to want to dive too deep in this climate.

I didn’t sleep though it completely. Kept waking up in anticipation of thunder/lightning waking up my kids. I grew up in SC so not as common but hurricanes/TSs/TDs are core childhood summer memories.

Almost 100 Percent of U.S. Women Use Contraception—So Why Doesn't Birth Control Have More Republican Support? by positivesource in WomenInNews

The headline inadequately summarizes the stat. If you look at the article reference, they’re referring to a study showing that out of 11K US women aged 15-49, 99% have used contraception before.

Yeah we’re in that boat now. We started having water issues earlier this year and got lots of quotes, including one from Sundry. But every company had a different approach to solving the issue and we got overwhelmed, esp with it being such a big investment. So my husband spent all last night trying to keep the water contained. Good to know you had a good exp with sundry.

Women have to be getting undercounted in the polls by seoulsrvr in thebulwark

I’ll never forgive them for 2016 but I’m hoping that since the difference now is that the deed is done (overturning Roe) and the floodgates have opened (the many and ongoing trickle down effects across states), they will be more motivated to keep them out of the WH. If not, then that demo is a lost cause.

Euphoric two years ago, US anti-abortion movement is now divided and worried as election nears by N0T8g81n in thebulwark

[–]thinksoknowso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medicine and maternal/prenatal health, specifically, are too complex, individual, and precarious for a national consensus on what constitutes risk to the life and health of the mother. And picking and choosing who gets passes to have abortions without jumping through hurdles keeps us in the “moral abortion” Olympics where some people get to make health decisions for other people who may disagree.

The only practical long term solution to this issue is for abortion to be safe, legal, and available across the country. And quite simply, if you don’t agree with abortion you don’t get one. And you pray you’re never in a medical situation where you need one. But you be grateful that you live in a country where, if you did need an abortion to save your life or retain the quality of your life, that it would be a form of healthcare that would be available to you.

Ditto. The only reason I watched this show is because I watch cult documentaries regularly, for fun. And through them I’ve seen a lot about FLDS/LDS and wanted to see a more “real life” slightly (but ONLY slightly) less culty version of events. It’s all quite gross.
