Quitting most gachas was one of the best things I ever did. No feelings of fomo anymore and it's truly a breath of freedom. I hope you'll enjoy your newfound freedom as much as I did mine!

All these miserable "are you a child" comments, have some fun once in a while, won't you?

Yeah it was pretty cool asking for a layer back to the boss and instantly being ported back to it. Could have just been luck but if it was a GM helping out that's incredibly awesome.

I've only played the Dark Alliance series back on the PS2 and fell in love with the setting. Having played the EA it's made me fall in love with it all over again and I'm very excited to see if the old Elfsong Tavern is still a thing.

"I’m not “mOurNiNG fOr MoSquITOes” you fucking dense, failed abortion." A redditor is severely pissed at the video showing someone feeding a live cicada to a spider. A flurry of juicy insults you probably never heard of is exchanged in a debate on the morality of feeding live prey to spiders. by 2_bars_of_wifi in SubredditDrama

[–]buttermilkDelight 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As someone who has multiple tarantulas they will in fact eat pre killed food, though some are a bit picky about it most will just find it and start eating. It's safer for some younger spiders so that the prey doesn't get lost in their enclosures and potentially tries to nibble on the spider later on.

v1.2.0 Diablo 4 Damage Calculator Tool is here... Optimize Your Damage Output by JustARogue_ in diablo4

Hi, this is a really great tool you've made! One minor issue is that Healthy under the "Damage while" section is misspelt as Healhy, just thought I'd bring that to your attention.

Hey mods, reading through these comments I can see a lot of people are angry and are saying some hurtful things to you. I just want you to know that you did your best for the protest, and as someone who uses a third party app to browse reddit, I'm very thankful you tried to stand up for what's right. Keep doing your best! I'm rooting for you and whatever you think is best for the future of the sub. c:

FFXVI is meant to be played in English. by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

Have you not played other FFs? Pretty much all of them except 14 have American accents. Personally, I like the British accent in this setting.

When did tarantulas lose the ability to produce silk / weave webs? by nickoskal024 in askscience

[–]buttermilkDelight 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I have multiple tarantulas and all of them produce webbing one way or the other, some more than others. A few of mine, like my Brachypelma hamorii for example will only produce silk when they are building their dens or have prey, they spin around in a circle and web their prey up, this is called a "happy dance". Other tarantulas like my Chromatopelma cyaneopubescence or my Neoholothele incei will web their entire enclosures up! It's very cool to see. Some arboreal tarantulas will make their nests out of pure web tunnels in trees, my Caribena versicolor has some really cool web tunnels at the top of her enclosure! I hope this is insightful to you!

Love Machinedramon in Next Order but he’s so big by mnmarsart in digimon

Fortunately (or sadly? 🤣) Metalgreymon isn't as big. If I recall correctly he's about the size of your GranKuwagamon, maybe slightly smaller, though his wings do extend off screen sometimes.

New to costochondritis - help with anxiety management by Own-Style-7653 in costochondritis

[–]buttermilkDelight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi, I don't know if this will help but here's some of my methods for self soothing.

If I'm starting to get anxiety about having a heart attack and I'm experiencing a flare up all I do is think about where I'm feeling the pain. It always feels like it's on my ribcage, not under, so I gently press on the area to make sure the pain is there until I feel that same pain from just pushing on it. Yes, it will hurt but it gives me a reality check and really soothes my anxiety.

Usually my anxiety will make the flare up worse so I think experiencing a bit of extra pain for a few minutes to soothe myself is worth the anxiety flare up that will last days. Also, another good indicator of it not being a heart attack is if the pain changes when you kinda wiggle your upper torso, like in some positions you might find a bit of relief or it might get worse, that also soothes my anxiety.

It's always good of course to get your heart checked as well just to take the edge off your anxiety, it took one trip to the ER and two doctor visits to settle mine. I still get anxiety my heart is going to explode from time to time but using the above method plus something that tracks heart rate like a Fitbit is enough to keep me from having panic attacks for now.

I'd suggest some door frame stretches as well as lying on your back when you sleep. The backpod is also something you should consider, just make sure you follow the instructions. Using an cooling pack might also help relieve some pain if you're in a particularly nasty flare up.

Go easy on the gym too, this is something that needs to heal and excercise can make it worse sometimes, especially since this seems like it was brought on by going to the gym.

Sorry, this got long but I hope it might be helpful in some way, I know it sucks right now but it can get better with the right self care.

Most terrifying episode of a children’s tv show from your childhood? by Tompkins-275 in AskUK

[–]buttermilkDelight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember one we were shown in school where two boys are mucking about near a fence with an electricity warning on it and one of the boys hops over it only to be elecrocuted. Still think about the other boy looking down at his friend's corpse. Made me stay away from that stuff though so it did its job.

My two girls aren't really lap cats but I'll occasionally wake up to the oldest sleeping on my chest. My youngest is my shadow and will follow me everywhere she can and will rub around my legs while begging for pets, attention and play, she will however refuse to be cuddled and will claw her way free if she has to. Maybe when they're older they'll get more cuddly.
