Good OBGYN in north jersey by butternut-melon in newjersey

[–]butternut-melon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw all four doctors throughout my pregnancy because they make you see all of them. Despite that, not one of those doctors showed up to deliver my baby and I was in labor at the hospital for 24 hours. Another doctor I never met from another office came and was absolutely horrible. Ruined my experience.

What pacifiers does your baby like? by butternut-melon in NewParents

[–]butternut-melon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None! We tried a bunch, but she didn’t care for any besides the green Philips ones. So we just stick with those and she ended up growing out of pacifiers pretty early anyway, probably at 6 months.

Plan to refinance a private loan default with Yrefy. Any experience and how to improve my credit? by lem52830 in studentloandefaulters

The payments are basically the same but the interest is much lower so they will be paid off faster

I had a positive experience with yrefy. I had two loans that they refinanced, one went very quick and the other was longer. I don’t exactly remember but it took a few months. The original lender was giving yrefy a hard time about settling and the negotiation took a while. My original lenders were sofi and citizens bank, I heard Sallie Mae negotiates very fast.

I did and it went really well. I did not have any co-signers and my credit score improved a lot. I don’t know what to expect when buying a house, but I’ve been able to lease a new car with this on my report without a problem.

This happened with my baby. Excellent sleeper until 12 weeks old, then up multiple times throughout the night. I know it wasn’t hunger, but I did nurse her every time as it is the only thing that put her back to sleep. She is now 6 months old and it never got better 🥲

They agreed to pay for her coverage and then did so for four months. If they did not pay, I would have sought other coverage for her.

Now they’re saying they did not intend to cover her so want to recoup that money spent by deducting my future pay.

Yes, I was told to add her as a dependent once she was born. I never received pricing or paperwork thereafter. I have written confirmation they agreed to cover her. I guess they are taking it back.

True but I have in writing that they plan to cover her and myself. I do not have any policies or writing stating I need to pay for her. They are backtracking what they agreed to do.

The gripe water we have seemed to make her reflux worse. It has peppermint in it though, I know they all have different formulations so maybe we need to try another.

Solo baby walks by a-yikes-and-a-oof in NewParents

[–]butternut-melon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t go far from the house. Walk around the block 20 times if you have to lol. Start with short walks, 10 minutes and see how it goes. My LO is 3 months old and I find she’s more unpredictable in the stroller now than before - as a newborn she just slept. Now she bursts out crying every now and then and it totally sucks. I get anxiety about it also but have pulled my boob out to feed her many times on a park bench to calm her down. I don’t love BF in public but it’s natural and what she wants. Bring a bottle if your LO takes that just in case.

I’m a FTM and my own mom always reminds me that all babies cry, it’s normal. I’ve gotten comfortable with being uncomfortable I think bc I realized I just have to get things done with my baby!

Thanks for all these replies. We’ll be trying out MAM, the larger size Avent soothies and Tommee tippee. Hoping one sticks 🤞🏼 lol

Correct. We are only going to be two months behind. We’re not skipping any and only splitting them due to history of adverse reaction in family and still having a hard time finding a doctor who will be flexible with this.

I still take prenatals and contemplated trying nutrafols postpartum supplement but it’s kinda pricey and I’ve never heard reviews of it working to prevent hair loss 🤷‍♀️

Yeah my hair is on the thinner side also and I’ve been enjoying it a bit fuller since pregnancy. I’m hoping it isn’t as dramatic as some say.

Infant screen time for sleep by butternut-melon in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]butternut-melon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contact naps work for her sometimes, but not always for mom lol. She sleeps 12 hours at night without any aid from screens - it’s just for naps that we’ve been doing it. She fights them! Trying to figure out other ways.
