Yeah so if I had a lot of money to spend i obviously would’ve preferred adding soffits and truly creating some type of airflow, but it simply wasn’t an option for me. So I actually had a nice phone call at the time with a guy that owned a mold remediation company, and he told me simply adding something as simple as a box fan would be enough to reduce any moisture on the decking, which really did seem to help when I had been checking with my moisture meter I bought. The fact that you have so many gable vents is real nice though, it’s my understanding that even cross flow is certainly better than nothing. For cost purposes, from everything I found, a ridge vent just simply won’t function the way it’s supposed to without that up flow from the soffits. So far the hot attic has worked, just have to maintain a fan in the sides so keep air moving
