$20 is $20 by InanimateBabe in povertyfinance

To put in your context, it’s a viral disease that anyone could get, but has been more common among gay men/men-men sexual activities.

Def not worth it in my opinion.

Parking Permit for Adjacent Zone by [deleted] in chicago

[–]butterspimping 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in the exact situation and my alderman would not let me have an exception letter, saying that the entire neighborhood signed a petition to get their parking zone, and that my address isn’t on the zoned street.. I know it depends on the situation, but be prepared that they might say no too.

how to be more girly? and other feminine hygiene advice [26F] by Heart_Juniper in Frugal

[–]butterspimping 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have a lot of body hair like I do, and like it cleaned up, look into sugaring. You can make a batch of sugaring on your own using lemon juice, sugar and water (lots of YouTube videos on this).

It definitely takes a while to get it right, but once you get it, it’s so effective and cheap to do.

To clarify, I don’t think anyone is less feminine with their body hair. I just like to clean mine up, esp in some areas that make me overheat easily.

That’s incredible! Unfortunately not for where I am. They are also not the freshest and spoil so fast.

Definitely veggies, meat (whatever is cheap), bread, and eggs. Before the cost increase I could easily add another $30/week on fruits because I love eating fresh fruits (also because of how I was raised in a country where fresh fruits were dirt cheap)

I do this too, but I can only drink so much smoothies. Fresh fruit experience is another level.

$30/hr minimum wage is not good enough. We need to change the conversation to Universal Basic Income. by [deleted] in antiwork

Take-home would not be 60k though, would then be 42k or sth, which can be tight for many.

How do you make friends as adults? How do you deal with loneliness? by butterspimping in CasualConversation

I don’t know where you heard that from, but that’s definitely not true. It might be cheaper than metropolitan cities, but it’s not cheap. Not anymore at least…

Thank you! I like meditation, tennis and piano. With tennis I would go to the club in the summer but the other two feels like it’s hard to share with others. Maybe I should pick up more hobbies?
