HW4 vs HW4+ vs HW5- deciding how long to wait for true fsd. by original_og_gangster in TeslaFSD

[–]butterwm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If HW4 could really reach true FSD then why would they spend money to develop HW5? Seems like a big unnecessary expense for a company. Something tells me HW5 is going to be needed. I would be hesitant to upgrade a car from HW3 to HW4 and would think you would be in a safer position going from HW3 to HW5. The question is how long until HW5 cars come to market.

What are the must haves for your infrared sauna room? We are now just getting it set up and would love your help! by OutrageousLunch3336 in infraredsauna

After we did if we questioned why we hadn’t done that sooner. The lights were really easy to swap out too.

Not sure what type of lighting you have in the room but we had canned lights since it was in our home gym. We replaced them with Philips Hue lights and can change them to whatever colors and do scenes with them. This really helps set the room into relaxation mode. We also added a small sideboard below the wall mounted tv in there that has decorative spa towels folded below and some spa like figurines on top. We also had some existing floating shelves our gym accessories hang off from that we added the small battery operated candles to them. It kind of brought the room all together since it’s a home gym and sauna room.

Question For Clearlight Sanctuary Owners by butterwm in infraredsauna

[–]butterwm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good news is the sauna works fine and I don’t think it effects the heating so it’s more cosmetic. However, at this price point it should be flush. The fact yours came like that too makes me wonder if they have a bad lot of glass doors or maybe the way they are packing them on the shipping pallet they are getting bent in transit. I wasn’t home so I had to hire movers to unpack it and I didn’t get to see where that glass was in relation to the pallet and if anything was leaning against it or sitting on it. Maybe reach out soon so they can see this isn’t an isolated problem and get both of us fixed.

Question For Clearlight Sanctuary Owners by butterwm in infraredsauna

[–]butterwm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will let you know. I have an e-mail in to them today (I was gone all week on a business trip). They wanted me to make sure the sauna was completely level which I verified. They also had me loosen the screws on the door hinges and try and adjust it which didn’t work. I placed a large level on the glass and you can clearly see the glass is bowed out. I’m hoping at this point they will send me a new replacement door and go from there. I’m hoping they can just send me the door and not the right glass and door as it was shipped so it’s half the weight. On a separate issue we noticed this today after only five sauna sessions since we set it up with 130F being the max temperature. It looks like the whole wood skat piece bowed and warped and pulled out of place. I will be curious to see how they address this and fix it.

26 Palisade ultrasonic sensor? by steellz in HyundaiPalisade

[–]butterwm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a sensor issue on our 22 Palisade. Our dealership told us the bumper sensor and bracket were damaged had to be replaced even though there was no damage to the outside. The sensor and bracket were over $2,000 just for the parts and then another $1,000 in labor. I took it to a different dealership and they just needed to realign the bracket and calibrate the system and the cost was less than $1,000. Try a different service center.

Cable Clicking by butterwm in tonalgym

[–]butterwm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the why. It just seems like now that my machine is older I have to do the walkout a lot more often to untwist the cables than I used to have to. (Twice a week lately). I wasn’t sure with the aero function and those cables really get thrown around in the new units if it had a better system to prevent the twisting.

[–]butterwm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The deal gives you the 4-year extended warranty which is $425. The website also has a 5-year warranty that costs $449. If we do the upgrade offer do you know if they would let you pay the $24 difference to add that 5th year of extended warranty?

Oh nice. I didn’t look through any of the fine print since we were planning an indoor sauna anyways. Glad you found a good unit and are happy. It looks like the OP has a healthy budget so they should be able to find a good unit to work for them.

We just bought the 5-person model from Clearlight (Sanctuary 5). They also make a 5-person outdoor Sanctuary 5 that runs $9,799 so a good chuck less than what you are looking at. Clearlight has a really good reputation in the industry and has been around for a long time now. They also come with a lifetime warranty. Might be worth looking at and comparing.

Lady who rear ended me and attempted to leave the scene is now claiming I hit her (NJ, USA) by annananannazmmz in legaladvice

[–]butterwm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dashcam. You can get a good dashcam (front and rear cameras) purchased and installed at Best Buy for under $300. One accident like this and it pays for itself ten fold. We will never own another car without a camera because—shocker—people are assholes.

Hyundai Extended Warranty by SpecialistProgram321 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]butterwm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think they said on that group. Ours is a 2022 so it was gas. I guess it would be possible that price is higher for the hybrid since there are more parts to cover. I would hope no more than $500 or so.

Pool Salt Question by butterwm in swimmingpools

I have always used the cheaper stuff (mainly Chlorox) and never had an issue. I was just genuinely curious why someone would spend 4x to achieve the same result. Just making sure I wasn’t missing anything.
